Hey all, adding a quick note that for those preferring a square watch (versus the round one shown - amzn.to/4b1OmMu), there's the Amazfit Active as well: amzn.to/3Rrc6CL So the Balance and Active essentially replaces the GTS & GTR (Square & Round) from before. The square shaped Active also received Zepp OS 3.5 in recent updates, so it has the same AI features demonstrated in this video! It's also significantly cheaper - closer to $100 (almost 1/2 the price of the Balance), which could make it a good value smartwatch! However, note that the Active has less on-board storage (only 250MB vs. 4GB) as well as potentially weaker GPS / biometric sensors (from last gen). So some trade offs, but another option to consider. Excellent review highlighting the performance and new AI features. I actually just got a GTR mini - an excellent lightweight 35g highly functional basic budget friendly GPS tracker at around $100 USD. So I'm a bit disappointed at 1:00 they merged the whole GTR/mini/GTS into the same device in the future. But I'm glad the performance and battery life is still great. The price seems still reasonable but creeping on the upper end now closer to Garmin and Fitbit, albeit with more modern tech.

Can you use the OpenAI features if connected via Bluetooth to the phone? Cause I don't want to open Hotspot on my phone all the time as it consumes too much battery

I believe it has wifi on the device itself to run Alexa / Chat GPT, if you don't have your phone connected.

@xdexx my understanding is he's referencing the offline voice control/command feature at that timestamp instead of Flow...the latter (ChatGPT AI assistant) has to be triggered by long pressing the side button/crown whereas gesture is for the offline assistant...but yep like he mentions in the review with so many different assistants inside it can get confusing lol...would be cool if they made that gesture customizable in a future software update through!

Did you say the watch does not have cellular capabilities? So this watch cannot make phone calls or send text messages? That’s what I’m trying to figure out and I can’t seem to get a straight answer.

I have the Ticwatch 5 Pro (another chinese brand) and now message alerts have stopped. Many people online and in forums complaining about this. Another reason not to trust chinese brands.
