Im going for 99 slay untrimmed too and I'm currently with 71 slay, 68 hp and 69 ranged!

yepp just do quests, achievements, start slayer at lvl 1, use trident of the swamp, shared controlled xp, do bigger slayer unlock etc and your good.

I’m training a 30 def slayer account. Currently 85 mage, 87 att, 91 str, 90 hp, 90 range and 89 slayer. Probably won’t get the y trimmed but it’s alright

Little personal note long range half’s the range xp you get but added to defense same with defensive casting but it takes from hp xp so you could probably push base 98 combats and still get The non trimmed cape

If you can get as much range xp as mentioned before getting max range, is there not a way to get the cape with ALSO using melee? Or is it solely because of HP that range is the clear winner to get an untrimmed Slayer cape?

pretty sure its only because hes using a cannon to not get hp xp. but that makes range the weakest link

@@JuanDiaz-eo9tb What are the mechanics of cannon exactly? Does it not give HP xp? Or is it less than melee or regular Range training? I am working on an account trying to get the untrimmed Slayer Cape and don't have enough to start using a cannon at the moment.

@@infiniteaaron the problem with getting 99 slayer before everything else is that you will get 99 hitpoints before you get 99 slayer, so you need to find a way to get slayer xp without getting hitpoints...

Can’t cannon bosses is all. Depends how much hit points xp you have to spare Most people choose nieve because her tasks are more cannon-able than vannaka’s

If you take the final figure of ranged xp, and minus quest xp, diary xp, and fossil island/kudos xp, will the number that gives you tell you if you can still get slayer (ut) or not? I.e if the number is less than 13million and whatver, does that mean you can get untrimmed slayer cape?

I've spent 50 days on this character doing access quests and other things i needed to be able to slay effectively, i hit 78 just now and i will do whatever I have to for that damn cape. I was fully prepared to do the last mil entirely on museum lamps. You think temple scares me more than I scare myself?

Can't you just range with cannon for slay xp with no hp xp, and then stop training range before 99? 1 slay xp per range xp with not hp xp. Get remainder slay xp with magic or melee with the 1.3 hp xp per 1 slay. 13,034,000 slay xp - current slay xp(398,000)=12,636,000. 13,034,000 range xp - current range xp(1,658,330)=11,375,670. 11,000,000(leaving the 375,670 for a buffer)/2 (slay xp = monster health, but cannon grants half xp and no hp xp=5,500,000 slay xp (monster Regen health or doing damage after task reason for buffer). 12,636,000(current slay xp left to 99)-5,550,000(slay xp gained from range)=7,116,000. Remaining slay xp needed for 99(7,116,000)x1.34(hp xp gained per slay xp)=9,535,440. 13,034,000-Current hp xp (2,684,127)=10,349,873. My cannon xp rates might be wrong just one of the first things that came up on Google, but seems plausible if the number I got are correct. Bit of an old video so doubt your stats are the same.

[if you're over 13m xp] "You're not going to be able to get an unt. slayer cape unless you do lamps, achievement diaries, and quests" I did this calc just before christmas and was iirc 550k over 13mil xp. Doing this again I'm 1,291,280 under 13mil xp. All I have been doing is cannoning with superiors unlocked. I've also been doing (melee only) gargs, anouks, black drags, rune drags with no cannon to save for points. Seems like something isn't being accounted for here and I don't think almost 2mil xp came from superiors. I should have screenshots to back this up somewhere if needed.

Hey bro here's the formula: Your current slayer XP - 13,034,000 * -1.34 + (Hitpoints XP) -13,034,000 * 2 Current Ranged XP = Ranged XP You'll Have Hitting 99 slayer before any other 99's means YOU gotta hit 99 Slayer before hitting 99 HITPOINTS. So to do that you'll need to use a cannon (and other methods outlined by helpful people in the comment section) That's why we calculate ranged XP Hope this helps!
