I'm more or less excited for Forestry. I've done 99 WC 2 times so far and the change to a more "multiplayer" experience I feel will be refreshing to me, personally. WC traditionally is a very solo activity, and there isn't much you can do with other people in F2P in regards to content, so I welcome it. The random event thing is a strange, almost forced in addition that I feel will break the flow a little too much, but you can also just ignore them(?) and get less exp in return, which I find ridiculous. The tree timer change is going to be odd, and the exp rates were fine as it was previously, so I'm unsure as to why they felt the need to buff it. As for Bonfires, I am not a fan of that. I didn't enjoy it in RS3, and have no plans to enjoy it here either.

@@Pawzosrs should do, remember watching those around 2017 when i got 99 wc in f2p. then got members and got 200m fish and logged out lol, havent played rs since 2019 and it's so funny but also unsurprising that jagex continues to destroy the game after all this time

I (Vollini) quit a few years ago because the game became easier, faster, and more afk, just like what happened with rs3. I could never come back now because it’s a totally different game. The PvM/PvPers will always get their way. Jagex don’t care if you spent 3k hours on one skill when there are people complaining about getting a skill requirement for a quest.

I don't understand why people don't want more innovation in skilling now days. They've now made wc a lot more afk but at the same time added random events that kind of force you to watch your screen but I suppose with runelite you'll get a notification of course but it feels backwards.

The counterpoint to adding the events to woodcutting is increasing the random factor that a skill like slayer has. Otherwise it stays the same thing just click a tree and wait. While it is changing the fundamental of the skill it is now increasing the engagement which is a positive. You can still do the old methods but now the options of variety and engagement

IDK I am really not a fan of this mentality "this is osrs if you dont like it play rs3", IMO a very slow exp increase over the years is good, if the updates aren't just straight up better in every aspect of the game (my rs3 example is safe cracking, which is an update where you had to travel around the game and steel from safes, which wouldn't be bad, but they made it way too easy/too good exp, if they focused on one of the two it would be so much better, but they didnt and it was just a new afk, best exp at almost all lvls method).

I said that xp increases are fine as long as the methods are more difficult.

@@Pawzosrs yes, I was more going for that there should be better methods in the future even if its same difficulty, just to change it up a bit. Still think that this game is all about slower exp rates and grind for max or just high skills.

I heard awhile ago that jagex is trying to have the content coming up to keep content creators playing by giving them new content because there is so many end game players/streamers/gamers who have completed so much that they are just doing same things over and over again and losing interest. Not the only reason of course but it just stuck to my mind. Ive stopped playing rs3 exactly when they released eoc literally on the spot no second thoughts and started playing osrs when it released. Its the eoc what made me quit, runescape has to have osrs mechanics. Thats one thing that drags people towards osrs, they want the game to feel like runescape.
