OSRS - Perilous Moons Guide (Zero Supplies)

Varlamore has been released into Oldschool Runescape, and with it the Perilous Moons! This guide will show you how to complete the Perilous Moons (Blood moon, Blue Moon, Eclipse Moon) without using any supplies of your own with low level gear! Hope the guide helps!

From what we know so far, the dps difference between the combat styles isn't big enough to warrant bringing switches. Just use a whip on slash for all of them; it works fine.

Don't have to guess if you're colourblind you can turn on colour filter in accessibility options in windows that's what i use as I'm colourblind and it works well for me where i can see things easily

Small tip for the blue moon: if your run gets turned off by one of the swirls, just hold the control key and continue to click where you want to go. This will make your character run even if run is turned off, and if you get hit by more swirls, you don't have to worry about turning your run energy back on constantly.

A bit of a cheese for the Eclipse is that the "Parry" special attack has a set attack speed. Meaning if you equip a BGS or another super slow massive str bonus 2h weapon, every parry will hit for a TON of damage.

Another tip to avoid the blood jaguar & pool damage: Turn the sound effects to MAX volume, and as soon you hear the chime end, click back and forth 😊

Guide definitely helped me get started and after getting the hang of it with a few kills I think this might be the best piece of mid-game pvm in the game. Builds up skills that’ll be used in endgame content with a near nonexistent barrier to entry

For blood moon, having sounds on makes the jaguar step back easier. There's a pretty good sound cue for when to step back and you can get the hang of it in just a few kills.

Something mammal didn't mention for the eclipse moon: If you have a weapon which gets a power boost from something when calculating damage (I.e. dharoks set effect), or have a multi hit weapon (D/C Halberd Spec, Dragon Claws, Scythe), you can actually skip the shadow clones that the eclipse boss makes as the phase normally doesn't allow you to let it go under 1 hp. However, if it has above 1 health, you can sort of "overkill" it, skipping the phase entirely and moving on to the next boss much faster ! An example would be it having 40 health left and you use the Crystal Halberd special to hit it twice, dealing a total of 60 damage, it'll overkill it and you can just run on to the blood or blue moon boss !

Small tip for the eclipse boss when you have to walk behind the shield mark the tile of each corner so you can see it easier and to know when to turn your camera

Small tip, when you are doing the Jaguar timing right, your character will move back at the same time the Boss raises its hands/the jaguars do an attack animation. So all animations will be in sync. Also, on the eclipse moon parry attack just ignore all animations and click as soon as you see a new clone.

Apparently lizards heal for 1/3 of your cooking level and bream heals for 1/3 of your fishing level (ex. 20 hp at level 60, 33 hp at level 99)

I do the order reversed from you, find it a bit cleaner. Go in, prep how you suggested then just go through the door and do Blue Moon boss. Then blood boss, then navigate to eclipse boss. But after first KC the cycle works really cleanly. You loot, do blood boss, land right next to the camp + lizards + moths to make pots and food and restore prayer / run. Then do Blue Moon, which lands you near eclipse, do eclipse, lands you back near eclipse, and loot.

from testing multiple times, fish heal for 25 lizards are about 16, depends on which you wanna heal for would depend on the food you take, sure the fish take longer but if you need bigger heals cause you have lower defense then i highly recommend the fish over lizards

Although it's fun running PM with a big group of players, the game doesn't like to render the boss correctly when a bunch of people run under the boss. This is glaringly apparent when the "parry" eclipse moon special ends and everyone has to move out from under the boss. Using the Entity Hider to hide others fixes this render flickering issue.

PSA -you really can't be too early when turning to face the boss on the eclipse special. Click the moment you see the next boss appear, don't wait for animations or anything. When done this way it's easy to see that he appears three times and then pauses for a break. I also like to have my camera looking directly down and click on the adjacent tiles around me, but I guess that's just preference. Also, bring a very slow attacking stab weapon like the crystal halberd to switch into this phase. When the boss is low health, after he finishes a set of three attacks, throw a spec. If done before he hits 1 HP, the second hit from the spec allows you to get teleported out, rather than waiting for the spec to end.

Same, it's not full protection unfortunately. But out of the circle you will be hit for 16's. Apparently it's based on your defense, so get that as high as possible.

Other players in the room don't affect your kill at all, everyone has their own respective health bar for the boss so the healing is just it healing off of you, not other players

They're not though? Takes way more time to make potions, and you're limited to like 6. So either you just don't have pray on or you're wasting time making pots when you could be 1t catching a butterfly
