Hi Everyone, The natural thought in everybody’s mind is the cost of surgery. Is the cost same for everyone and how high is it? An easy answer is ‘no’ and the reasons are every amputation is unique in what limb is amputated, the level of amputation, the cause of amputation, the time since amputation, the individual’s bone quality, the amount of muscle and soft tissue coverage and the integrity of the skin surrounding the residual stump. As a result, these factors are all taken into consideration when planning what options are available and therefore each surgery plan and costing is prescribed individually to each patient. In India we have been able to reduce cost significantly compared to the world as we doing a large no of processes idegenously. The way forward for all interested would be to be screened, meet in person, determine wether your a candidate and then figure the costing.
