This song perfectly embodies the WTF-moment that is the latter part of this game. The entirety of Finnish Tango is just one giant trip, following Athi's visions from the janitor's office into the maintenance tunnels, the firebreak, through the NSC cooling pumps, the Oceanview Motel, ending up in the Black Rock Quarry, then entering Restricted Area and riding through the empty abyss of Nowhere. If your mother language isn't germanic in origin, I do admit it's hard. The "r" in rolled has half the technique involved, the "r" in try the other. It involves vibrating the back of your tongue on the roof of your mouth as you begin saying it, and end it by vibrating the very tip of your tongue. In VERY layman's terms. If you still want to try it, tilt your head 90º degrees up, or lie down in your bed floor and don't try to resist the gravity applied to your tongue, let it sit freely and it will almost be in the correct position. Inhale a lot of air through your nose, then push it strongly through your mouth and you'll feel the vibrations on at least the tip of your tongue. You could even train this before you go to sleep, so it doesn't really take up time from your day. Eventually try singing in the same position and you'll feel the pressure in your tongue from making the correct usage of the technique. After a while, not even that long, it becomes second nature and you can do it normally.

A little spoiler-ish info about Ahti; If you go waaay back in its origin, you would find that the word ''Janitor'' is derived from something that meant ''keeper of the house''.
@videocrowsnest52512 жыл бұрын
Janitor can mean a few different jobs, actually! For clarity, lit will mean literally below, so I am translating the words literally into English. - Talonmies (Lit: Man of the House) - Siivooja (Lit: Cleaner) - Huoltomies (Lit: Maintenance man/maintaining man/man who takes care of (as his profession)) -Ovenvartija (Lit: Door guard/guarder of the door/guardian of the door) -Vahtimestari (Lit: Guard master/master of the guard/master of guarding) -Ovimies (Lit: Door man) Keep in mind, a lot of these words are now-a-days in many places fading out in favor of more gender-neutral terms, which also in the context of Ahti translate to some interesting things if you literally translate them. One common choice is laitoshuoltaja (lit: "maintainer of the institute/department/facility/plant/compound - or just simply "caretaker of the -prior things listed here.) Any word you go with really fits the mysterious, seemingly cosmic entity that is Ahti, so the more you know I suppose. There are also some interpretations of the words I potentially missed, as Finnish is just a funny language like that.
@timomastosalo4 жыл бұрын
The finnish name Sankarin Tango literally means Hero's Tango - which fits the story of the song, how the hero dies and is respawn, the hero / fool of thousand faces is struck down and heroically keeps repeating the cycle.

Most of the music is of a completely different genre than this, but this song is found at a lot of points in the map before being unlocked as a collectible. The music is very good though.

For anyone curious: Janitor can mean a few different jobs, or aspects of one. For clarity, lit will mean literally below, so I am translating the words literally into English. - Talonmies (Lit: Man of the House) - Siivooja (Lit: Cleaner) - Huoltomies (Lit: Maintenance man/maintaining man/man who takes care of (as his profession)) -Ovenvartija (Lit: Door guard/guarder of the door/guardian of the door) -Vahtimestari (Lit: Guard master/master of the guard/master of guarding/watch master/master of the watch) -Ovimies (Lit: Door man) Keep in mind, a bunch of these words are now-a-days in many places fading out in favor of more gender-neutral terms, which also in the context of Ahti translate to some interesting things if you literally translate them. One common choice is "laitoshuoltaja" (lit: "maintainer of the institute/department/facility/plant/compound - or just simply "caretaker of the -prior things listed here.) Any word you go with really fits the mysterious, seemingly cosmic entity that is Ahti, so the more you know I suppose. Also, the above is likely not a comprehensive list and so there are also some interpretations of the words I potentially missed, as Finnish is just a funny language like that. The more you stare at a word, the more potential meanings and interpretations you can spot, especially when trying to translate it into English using the literal method. As a result the language is amazing for clever wordplay, puns, and pretty deep meanings cloaked in the mundane.

Ahti knows everything👍 His song us about Alan Wake and Jack Joyce (Quantum Break) withiut actually mentioning Quantum Break. The best way Remedy could have go to add Quantum Break to Control without a way for Microsoft to sue them😂

This song is so good that I had to go play Alan Wake just to comprehend it fully. Absolutely no regrets; Remedy knows how to make videogame and stories collide.

Como único comentario en español, debo admitir que jamás esperé encontrarme con la historia de Alan Wake y lo bien que pega con esta canción, así como casi todos los protagonistas y personajes de la compañia. Por otro lado, tremendo final por si solo tienen Control y ambos finales, es increíble las cosas que te deja abierto y la posibilidad de muchos más juegos que se conecten de una manera tan increíble, imposible no admirar el juego tanto en narrativa como jugabilidad.
