Dont know if this is too late or not but still I wanna comment lol Basically this song is an Ost for an Islamic film in Malaysia, called Munafik. (The highest grossing film in Malaysia rn) It is actually a horror based story about how a woman who always get possessed by Jins and Shaytan (in Muslims belief) although she is a very pious and religious woman. This story is so sad, nerve wrecking and the plot twist gonna make you cry a river when you finally realised who is the villain that keeps making the girl being haunted by those jins. The rapper (Syamsul Yusof -taller one) is the director of this film and he plays a big part in making this film succesful. He studies a lot and went to meet a few scholars to ask everything about Islam so that this film wont be astray than what Islam teaches. Syamsul also acted as the Ustadh (a religious man who tries to cure the woman). He is actually a very respected young film director in Malaysia rn, along with his brother, Syafiq Yusof (Syafiq usually directed thriller movies) The singer, Mawi (the kinda bald one) was chosen to be featuring in this song cause Mawi got a very raw nice vocals that could complement the feeling of the song Basically this movie is very popular among Asians (talking about Brunei, Indonesia, Korea and Malaysia) especially among Muslims community since this movie is so different than what horror film should actually be. Usually horror stories are only about horror and teaches nothing, than just trying to scare the viewers. But this story is different cause it portrayed and conveys our religion well. And teaches people what "ISLAM" actually is. The main part of this movie is how beautiful the messages were written through the scripts. And how beautiful the actors portray every characters. Plus, you couldnt see the actress free-hair since Syamsul is really strict in order to protect the Muslims belief on how women should cover the aurah (parts of body that shouldnt be seen by others who can marry us) This movie could teach you a lot if you wanna know about Islam (the religion of peace). So I really recommend you cause a lot of non muslims actually watched this movie and they said it was really well made that their heart were really touched . If you wanna know abt the lyrics, O could only tell you a bit. I dont want to translate all of the It started with the verse that keeps repeating throughout the song , *Adakah kau rasa dunia isinya, hanya kau yang punya?* (Asking us -Muslims truthfully do we think that world is ACTUALLY ours without anyone owning it?) *Adakah kau lupa, ataupun kau buta kau dan aku hamba?* Do you (muslims) forget or just trying to be blind to act like you didnt know that you actually are only human beings and the slave of God? *Kuasa, harta, wanita mengotori jiwa dan bicara* The power, wealth and women (talking abt Muslims who arent religious and keep spending time with women) are one of those that ruined our life, and darken our heart? *Bila bicara, bicaranya semua besar. Mendabik dada besar egonya* (Some of us are really egoist talking like we own everything, but we actually not) *Lupa diri, lupa pencipta yang Maha Besar* (Forgetting who we actually are, where do we come from..and forgetting our Only Greatest Creator) *Agenda hitam kelam terbungkam, jiwa tak tenang kalah dalam menang* (Those are just evil spirits and evil agenda, which make us feel disturbed, and sometimes feeling depressed cause we found no calmness when we are astray. We might WIN all the wealth, women or power but we actually LOST with our own self.) Thats why this song is called KALAH (lost) DALAM MENANG(win). Those other verses being rapped by Syamsul are about the teachings in Islam , and some beautiful encouraging messages are also in them. He also talked about how we, muslims are being "called extremists, ISIS or terrorists". (Double standards by media and those people who stand for Islamophobia while Muslims actually didnt do anything and just keep being patient and shut our mouth cause we dont want another war.) I guess you could hear the word ISIS and EXTREMISTS in his rap clearly, and yeah thats where he talked about it. Hope this helps!
