This song makes me think of time often found in island chains or cyclones, when both sides know vaguely when and where the fight will take place, but not quite yet, and so everybody's on edge, moving slowly trying to sneak as a group to pounce on the other, every rock and fog-bank looking like a jack-in-the-box, an eerie silence, broken by the sound of Guns! :)

Please don’t bring it up, I was a carrier main and just got my ranger. I somehow stopped playing and when I came back I asked chat how to launch my fighters. They told me about the rework and I left the game. Legends player now and in the hope of a non broken CV game

the fighter strafe thingy are broken any aircraft within the area are wiped out in a single gun run regardless of their altitude. but the manual aim are beautiful (remember the old cross drop?). plus, AA are op as hell back then but it was compensated on how powerful cv that time. Saipan vets here.

@@introbait8245 tbh I didn’t even use manual aim that much. I set them a target and the right entry of the attack and let them go. Never was too OP. I think most of the former CV players miss the strategic part of the gameplay.

When the Beat drops I always see that one Japanese Bomber hitting the water, it's engine dies out while the aircraft gets run over by a DD which storms forward, guns blazing.
