That would be an incredible disaster recovery vehicle. You could send something like that into hurricane or flood ravaged areas to help recover people. While a standard Sherp could pull out one or two, the Ark Sherp could serve as an ambulance / evacuator for more people or even stretcher casualties, or bring in more supplies or rescue personnel. I could see sending them in teams, 1 or 2 standard Sherps as more maneuverable runners, plus an Ark Sherp as a central base/hub for recovery operations. You could even palletize emergency equipment to be carried on the Sherp and dropped off to stay in the area with some of the personnel while the vehicles run back and forth. Run the Ark in loaded with equipment and personnel, drop the equipment to establish a forward base, assemble a tarp and bow cover system on the back of the Ark, then use it to ferry casualties out and supplies in. I hope someone is considering this, given the seeming prevalence of major disasters these days.

Install a 2 ton boom on it and a place to strap down jet-ski's or snow mobile's and other life saving tools would make it a great idea for a emergency response vehicle

@@GoatOffroad I'm dreaming hard ! Bv206 has been improved to a BV210 and I've already made a list of features I want on it ! Other dream - emigrate to Darwin area Australia, get a big plot of land , build a big house and have tigers as pets. What's your dream(s) ?
@GoatOffroad5 жыл бұрын
pmailkeey - move south (tired of the wet and cold) and explore the beautiful lands of Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. Dream of when my husband doesn’t have to work so hard so he can enjoy more time with me as we overland - or go on adventures in our Jeep! Dream of Retirement without money problems!! 🤗 In the beautiful sunny South!! ☀️ 🌴🥰 I’ve always wanted to visit Australia since I was a little girl! Maybe I could pet your tigers! 😄

@@GoatOffroad AZ etc. has been in my mind too as an alternative to Australia. Money's always a good one as it buys freedom. Totally agree about getting away from the cold - have absolutely no issues with the wet - providing it's warm wet ;) And of course I'll let you ask the tigers if they'll let you pet them ;)

You need to get one and make it a trail recovery sherp and have it be able to carry a fishing hut
@alessandroabbati65405 жыл бұрын
This would be the ultimate campervan ever! Just perfect!! Do you reckon it is better than the standard sherp on offroad?
@ostacruiser5 жыл бұрын
It can do everything the original Sherp can do much better. Especially steep hills
@rontribbey55103 жыл бұрын
Much better version, even before the added 6 wheel addition.

The Sherp / Ark drive connection is ambiguous. Detailed is the fact both are powered by the single diesel engine, however there is no detail as to how. I'm presuming (by virtue of the hoses) that the rear three axles are powered by a hydraulic pump that provides power to the Ark differential, which powers the chain drives to the other two axles on the Ark. It would be interesting to know how this operates.
