I got diagnosed with severe osterosporosis T-3.8 last month... I changed my lifestyle: I take Vitamin D2+k2M7, hydrolyzed collagen peptides, Calcium from New Zealand bovine, zinc and magnesium glycinate. Daily exposure to sun, walks (2 hours per day) , light weight exercise, ..I allow myself to have one week dessert per week. My diet is one fresh green juice per day, raw cheese, olive oil, cod liver oil, organic pasteurize eggs, NATTO daily for the high vitamin K2. and most importantly PRAYERS!!!

no cure . those things will help . but you need medication to stop the bone loss so your bones have a chance to get more dense. if you are postmenopausal that is very important . go see an endocrinologist who specializes in bone conditions before you have a fracture. Genetics has a role, and there is nothing you can do about that.

I told my doctor at 40 I have a risk of osteoporosis, he said not sure if insurance would pay for the test. Time ticks on and at menopause nothing was done. The system let me down. At 60 I broke my femur and now have osteoporosis. 65 for a dexa is way too late. My doc wanted me on bisphosphonates..I am high rsk...no mention of bone builders which I would prefer

Had a weakness in my knee for the longest period of time along with other issues that seemed to all relate. After I had a tooth extraction and jaw surgery done, pain dramatically got worse. Researched many things and changed diet to more greens which helped especially when it was in smoothie form. But finally after having a pastor pray for healing for me, Jesus released healing to me in that moment. A day later I found more help by drinking green tea in a way I never have before. I've always thought it needed to be hot but this time I had it cold and was able to sip on it much more throughout the day without the hassle of having to warm it up. The strengthening effects were immediate and the day went on so much more pain free.

Omygod! The viewers asked, more than once!, about natural treatments for osteoporosis and the female doctor kept reply, "No supplements that we know of that works". She NEVER HEARD THE QUESTION!!! The question was NOT about supplements!!!! The question was about how to treat osteoporosis naturally - WITHOUT PILLS, SUPPLEMENTS, MEDICINE! THIS is why people are so frustrated with the "medical system". Because it's ALL about giving pills and medicines. And then doing some sort of "procedure". If you don't want to take pills and treatments, eat lots of leafy greens and do not drink milk. There is NO research that conclusively shows that cow milk helps osteoporosis. This about this: Where do you think cows, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, water buffalo, whales (yes, they are mammals!), chimpanzees (our next of kin!!) and other mammals get their bone minerals from (it's not just calcium but also magnesium, manganese, and other minerals in our bones!) ? Mammals get their minerals from the greens they graze on - leafy greens and vegetables! You don't see any mammal on earth - other than human beings - suckling at the teat of another mammal i.e., the cow. Even cows don't drink cow milk after weaning!! Cows get their calcium and bone minerals from the grass they consume. Silverback gorillas get their nutrition from the greens and fruit they eat all their lives - they don't drink cows milk for their bones!!! How ridiculous!!

You didn’t listen very well. She said you could do it naturally with diet many, many, many, times and they have a list of foods with calcium qualities on website. Plus exercises and no smoking, low alcohol, ect. She said you could get calcium from plants too. Just to add up calcium from food to make sure getting enough. They said diet was better than supplements. Maybe you should see someone about your ears. The medication was for severe osteoporosis that is too far gone to only rely on diet at that point.

As an MD, I find your own comment shows a lack of understanding . There IS no way to treat osteoporosis without pills, supplements, medicine -and I know all about alternative and functional medicine. that is the truth. You can be in denial. The pathophysiology is such that the bone loss has already occurred and there is no cure. vit. D, calcium and some others are important. medicine can help build back bone so that bone growth is greater than bone loss so fractures dont occur. All the leafy greens in the world. will not help osteoporosis, as the disease already exists. It's way too late for prevention. There is also a very strong genetic component. If this continues to be your attitude, no one will want to help you and you'll be on your own. do yourself a favor and LEARN. google 'osteoporosis', which is a serious but treatable condition. It's simply not the fact that your opinion is as valuable as the expertise of these specialists and the facts in the medical literature. and she wasnt taking about a procedure. Bone density scans are X-rays and they are essential to assessing the degree of bone loss. there's nothing wrong with not knowing . But being ignorant about being ignorant - not having gone to med school etc-- is not going to help you.
