Good video. My wife has osteosarcoma (epithelioid type) in her proximal humerus. About 7cm. On Cisplatin and Doxorubicin. Surgery in 1 week. Hopefully necrosis of 90 percent or better. 39 years old. 🙏

how good is limb salvage surgery compared to other treatments like rotationplasty and amputation?

It depends on the age of the patient, extent of disease and many other factors If patient is ready to accept the handicap and cosmetic deformity, rotationplasty has a better function than megaprosthesis. I'm currently in my third cycle of chemotherapy and wondering whether to choose limb salvage surgery or rotationplasty (I prefer choosing limb salvage surgery but don't really know how big the risks are).
