Just thought I'd comment about the malita coffee filters. I have this exact machine and my wife bought the malita filters. They didn't work in the machine. It filled the coffee basket without draining properly. Tried the usual dollar store filters and they worked perfectly as always. The coffee was ground for a flat bottom basket.

They must’ve changed something with the malita filters. We since changed to the Great value brand from Walmart. Works fine for us so far.

I know this is an older video, but I just purchased this coffeemaker and the lid of the carafe seems really tight. Do I force it or is there a ‘trick’ ?
