For anyone who wishes they could have an ostrich experience, be sure to swing by Ostrichland if you're in the Solvang area. You can't ride them but you can experience the terrifying experience of feeding them. Depending on the season you can also pick up some emu or ostrich eggs. Ostritch eggs are pretty darn similar to chicken eggs in terms of flavor, but emu eggs really steal the show with a green exterior and a smooth, custardy inside.
