Vardim Island or Ostrov Vardim is the third largest Bulgarian island on the Danube, after Belene and Kozloduy. It is near the Svistov Commune, the Veliko Tarnovo Region, near the mouth of the Yantra River in the Danube. Much of its surface is covered by wild forests with endangered tree and plant species. This island is a true sanctuary in which nature has preserved its beauties untouched by the hand of man. Here we also meet 75 bird species of rapacious beauty. Landscapes are a perfect source of inspiration for professional photographers, but especially for nature lovers.
