From what I know there is two ways which one is the osu tag mode in multiplayer. Or they make two versions of the map where one is missing half the circles and the other one has the circles and then the recordings are put on top of each other through video editing and it looks something like this

Also, since they are completely alternating every note instead of every new set of numbers, it can't be multiplayer tag. I also want to know how it's done though. I'm pretty sure there is a mostly invisible skin other than the cursor, then a replay is done with no GUI and green screened to just be the cursor. I don't know how the notes and stuff below are done, considering that some are 100s.
