Oh yeah, this bowl ban is a real punishment for the worst cheating scandal in sports history. This no different than fixing games. Every player, coordinator, and player was in on it. The is 10x larger than the Joe Jackson Black Sox scandal in terms of integrity of play on the field. NCAA football, is just the NFL jr. now. It wasn’t NIL that ruined college football, this decision has completely destroyed the integrity of product on the field.

If we vacated wins, there is no way that the bluebellies don’t also lose all those wins after violating NCAA rules to gain a MASSIVE on-field competitive advantage. Like Kirk says, UM magically got way better without better players or coaches, or anything. Except Connor Stalions, do you think he made much of a difference? I’m curious to hear your perspective on that one Kirk. As a player, how would that have changed things when you played #1 vs #2, if those teams were going to play a rematch the following week? How sore are players after such an intense, heated exchange? Harbaugh wearing LA gear was a huge slap in the face of UM, I hadn’t heard that one. Oklahoma had a 2 year bowl ban in 1989 and 1990 and they didnt get back to winning big untill Bob stoops got there in 1999 i believe and won it all in 2000 But they didnt have a good decade

A couple things, that people are severely overlooking. 1. This was reported by beat writers Chris Baylas. Whom not only is terrible at his job and does the UM fan base a disservice. But has either downplayed and outright lied during this entire saga. If he is reporting a multi year bowl ban. Then I’d be willing to bet money that it’s a lot worse, and will be far worse for the UM program. He is 100% downplaying the storm that could follow. 2. The Letter of Allegations DOES NOT include any form of punishment. Like mentioned above; if Baylas is reporting a potential punishment, I’d keep my eyes peeled for greater things to come, much greater. 3. A multi year bowl ban might as well be a death sentence for any program. Assuming a bowl ban takes effect for 2025, your on roster players, in particular juniors and seniors will transfer to a destination where they can compete for a national championship or a playoff run. Never mind the massive impact this will have on this 2024 cycle recruiting class, as well as the following year and year after.
