I think it's more about seeing your #1 player disconnecting from Bancho, dc from Discord and realizing that you can't possibly win anyway rather then "you needed 800m+ points to win". DC's always make me consider the players mental rather then scoregap

It was a close fight tho, i still congrats to USA for their win, but the moment mrekk lost power supply in the middle of a important match is very sad~ :c

Remember when in 2018 Vaxei disconnected on "No, Thank you!" they refused to take the score and we lost that map? why would they take mrekks score if he dc'd after the allowed time? have the rules changed since then? Edit: Amazing series! we had the best match two matches back to back of the OWC so far

@OnyxRev3nge there was a rule change because USA kept disconnecting in the grand finals to allow scores to be scored when they disconnect or fall the map. It's the "nf" that you see on the top right of the screen.

Now it was said in the end of the video, but before people go commenting "oooh Australia would've won had mrekk not dc'd" there was NO chance Australia won, only if mrekk ssd or got a near ss after the point of disconnect would they have won. Edit: changed "if mrekk had SSD they still would have lost" to "only if mrekk had ssd or gotten a near ss would they have won" y'all pedantic af

Im pretty sure not everyone knows how score v2 scoring works to new people had watched or tried this Score v2 mod so they believe AUS had a chance It is obvious that the match is over as mrekk rumored to had 580k with others dropping combo is a secure win for USA & i agreed this statement

One of those narrators actually needs to stfu, I got the feeling that throughout the entire match he words any misses or mistakes on the US side very favorably, and almost makes fun of some of the Aussies ex. Zyntex

People saying that Australia wouldn't win are correct for the most part but also seeing mrekk dc from voice or the game if one of them had their leaderboard up probably could've like mentally messed them up. I still personally think from that stand point they would've taken it to tb but from the actual facts that are being given, USA won Fairly. Just sucks, All Mrekk needs is a OWC badge but can't cuz his country doesn't have amazing players at least a lot of them for owc

Mrekk is an amazing player, but let’s be honest, he was not being held back by his teammates this match. If I remember correctly, for all 9 maps excluding the last he got the top score in the lobby 0 times. As of right now, he definitely isn’t deserving of an owc badge. Also there are other players who consistently outperform him in tournaments that do not have an owc badge.

Expected result. There is no team that matches USA overall consistency. Australia got surprisingly close though.

If mrekk didn't dc and matched his teammates' score they would have won and got into tb, which is in the favour of aus. This should have been a loss for the US.

Check the score on the map about what you're saying if that's really the case

@jacquesmonreal2930 it's 1.82m on 3 people for aus, and 2.42m for usa on 4 people. Divide by those numbers, you see that the average aus player had slightly more score. If mrekk didn't dc and matched his teammates, aus would have had around 2.44m, winning by about 10-20k points
