Just a thought, might be the lens with the green cast issue. If they are wide open, that and purple are everywhere

No idea. I tested it a few times with different lighting/ different settings etc… there is a chance it was damaged or something

Looking for a webcam to turn our living room into a little informal Zoom meeting studio. Using an android Tv stick and a tv. Have a blue yeti mic so audio is covered. Any update to this list? Is Logitech still your go-to?

Are you comparing the HD sony footage vs the upscaled, lower resolution $40 web cameras?

@@osullivanstudios Yep. Those $40-$70 industrial cameras have the same Sony (IMX335 is the best, IMHO) sensor. So, the problem is not in sensor resolution, but either bad lenses or lousy focusing. (Or terrible JPG compression). As I can see on your footage, sometimes the background is in focus and pretty sharp. I am aware of difficulties with focusing on such Chinese cameras, but I hope it is possible to make a better focus. Peace.

@@easypeasyabcsy7883 I see your point. They were manual focus lenses and I could have done a better job focusing on myself. It might be worth mentioning I tend to look better out of focus…. After a few beers too. This was actually a live demonstration that recorded via OBS and then cut down. I had a client looking to duplicate what the Sony could do with those cameras and I was showing them it wasn’t possible.

I think just getting a few webcams in the beginning would be the way to go. Just do what I did, order a good webcam and he MOKOSE 4K Digital Camera and see which one you like better. Then return the one you don't like. If your podcast takes off, then you can upgrade to higher-end cameras
