@ferretfrenzy059 жыл бұрын
+Alex H It's not as hard as it seems, albeit it does take some time to learn, with about 9 hours a day our band could learn about 80-95 sets in a week. It's more over not trying to remember your exact number in the sets, more over its making sure you know which line or figure you're supposed to be in. Learning the music is just repetition, and with enough repetition you can do other things with it like marching :D

@darlingdame_x187x3 жыл бұрын
Oh it's real alright, and it's far more challenging than any sport, except swimming perhaps. The reason being is not only are you engaging in rigorous physical activity, but your breathing has to be restricted and calculated. Especially if you play an instrument such as the flute, because while it maybe be small in comparison to other instruments, flute players automatically throw away half of their air output due to the design of the instrument. As a result, you have to develop twice the lung capacity. Unlike athletes, no one just oxygenates their blood willy-nilly in band lol.
@Willybush3 жыл бұрын
@@darlingdame_x187x alumni of TBDBITL here it’s hard but it’s not that rigorous. Anyone in decent shape could handle the marching and playing. And honestly anyone who worked hard enough over the summer could make the band there. Professional and collegiate athletics are 10x harder I promise you that. We take pride in what we do on the field but we are there to support the team as much as we can.
@darlingdame_x187x3 жыл бұрын
@@Willybush I'm an marching band alumni and you had to be dedicated and in prime form in order to join our band. We scored a Superior rating at state and qualified for nationals. @davidolinger39483 жыл бұрын
@@darlingdame_x187x I do have to say that football is def harder as you have to be gifted and work insanely hard to not die out there, but marching band is insanely hard in a different set of ways. The breathing majorly sucks and the timing and just playing is a huge mental tax, but you don't have bruises all over your body after a marching band session

Now see, that is a halftime show. not Red Hot Chili Peppers, not Malfunctioning wardrobe. Not about multi millon dollar sets. But real entertainment like this.
@thommo199810 жыл бұрын
would much rather have Red Hot Chili Peppers to be honest
@beefbeefmcburger10 жыл бұрын
Can the Red Hot Chili Peppers coordinate 150+ people to form the shape of a dinosaur, have that dinosaur walk, and eat a person all while playing music? No. No they can fucking not.
@thommo199810 жыл бұрын
Irontwins they can't, but their music is fucking brilliant
@Madcook01Blogspot10 жыл бұрын
What I ment with my comment wasn't entirely about Red hot chili peppers but the comment is about half-time it's self. The half time shows sometimes are not entertaining as they are hyped up to be. This video shows talent that to be honest better than some superbowl halftime shows.

So talented! It's not easy learning the drills! Hats of to past and present Ohio State band members and staff that brings us such wonderful performance and music! Ohio State band remains the best damn band in the land!!!!

You can't truly appreciate the difficulty of doing this if you haven't been in a marching band. SO much goes on, it's ridiculous. But yeah, Ohio State's marching band is one of if not the best College bands in the country, possibly the world. Drum and Bugle core is just insane....
@CorynWarriorKitty11 жыл бұрын
There isn't one in here, but It's actually harder to do Color Guard for this.
@RanceCosta11 жыл бұрын
***** harder than playing a wind instrument (read: you are effectively doing everything guard and percussion, except you have to hold your breath), really? Think again. You get to breathe whenever you want in color guard.
@jslaughter9511 жыл бұрын
***** um, sry but you are wrong there, both guard and wind players have an equal amount of difficulty to their jobs, id like to see you just walk up to a rifle/saber/flag and do what they do with them, and vise versa them to us

In the world? Yeah like we in Europe want to waste our time with this crap.Dancing on the court like a bunch of sisies.We got Ultras to support our teams.Fans that sing durig whole match,going wild when their team is playing,no matter if its wining or losing.The brawls with oponent Ultras fans and the police is just like anyother matchday,its a part of a culture.Thats the European style.You Yanks just keep sitting in your seats and yell Defence! and eat your hotdogs.

I think this deserves more likes and views because the time and effort it took to create this masterpiece is simply amazing. I can't imagine how much practice and cooperativity this took! The music really helped with the figures. I was mind-blown and this was a great marching band, but it could only be seen on one side of the stadium which is a shame. Despite that, this is just beyond amazing!!

At least he recovered being in a marching band and making a mistake can ruin the show so the audience doesn't know that so if a mistake is made you pretend that's apart of the show I'm in band camp its hard and you have to be on your toes or your doomed, the band director will point you out during half time if he catches you or so my section leader says idk yet I'm gonna be a freshman XD
@justhereformemes8 жыл бұрын
+Artsy Doots depends on your director. Mine is really chill but he points out every mistake made lol

I will never forget 2014. I'm from Cincinnati, and I got the pleasure to march right on that field for competitions. We got the to see so many talented marching bands from around Ohio.. And even got the pleasure to see OSU's "Wizard of Oz" show. I remember it just like yesterday, it was freezing outside at around 11PM and everyone was exhausted after being there since about 10AM. I had on barely a jacket, forgetting to pack a blanket. I was irritated by the cold until I saw the OSU band marching, and I forgot everything. I had chills, but not from the cold. It was an amazing experience I will never forget. I miss being in marching band. I'm home schooled now, but sometimes I wish I was still in it just to do stuff like that again.
@CielPhantomhivexSebastian8 жыл бұрын
Wilson Hinh Lmao, no not really. When it first happened I believe there were people having a small "riot" outside the zoo but nothing much else happened. A lot of people stood in front of the gorilla statue though inside the zoo, leaving flowers and/or cards, and there was a lot of conversation there and opinions. It was mostly respectable, honestly. Not even one dick out.
