thank you for your video very easy to understand, good job! I was wondering if i had a patient that had hallucinations how should i as their COTA do ? should i agree with the pt and what they are seeing in their hallucinations should i distract them with another activity what should i do or say to patient ?

Hi Kimberly. Brillant question. I am glad you asked. In the event the pt is hallucinating, try not to argue with what is seen or heard, and comforting the person if afraid. Also, you can district the pt by either going to another room or walking in a different environment.

Hi Sophie. I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos. I am an OTA. I understand that the scholarship is geared towards OT but I really felt in my heart to apply. it’s not impressive, but I do have a genuine passion for OT. Even if I am not selected, I want to say thank you for even giving us a chance to apply. It is so needed. Thank you

Perfect! Sophie, that was just what I was looking for. Other books I've been reading have made what you said so long and drawn out instead of getting to the point. I was all over the place looking for simple and specific. You nailed it. Thanks
