9:30 I have been using this for years. This depends on your do not disturb settings - you should disable tap sounds during do not disturb. I use it in all my camera apps.

💥💥 I've been starting to use Bixby more than the Google Assistant. A lot of people said Samsung should have given up on Bixby years ago but they stuck with it and to be honest with you I'm quite impressed with how good it is recently.

10:10 what i really don't like about quick commands is that they have pop-ups during the execution of a command. You can't do anything on your phone unless the command is accomplished. And it's worse if you have poor internet connectivity in some places - it will take longer to accomplish a command and the bubble will not go away. I wish there is an option to make it run in the background. I use quick commands to activate routines, and some routines activate quick commands. You can start a quick command that will activate a routine that will activate another quick command.

Thanks for the helpful video. Question for you. I created a custom Automatic Routine and I'd like to modify it. But, I can't seem to get into to the routine to edit it. I long-press the routine and I only get an option to delete or disable it. Can I edit an existing routine I've created? Thanx.

Not sure if you fixed your routine but instead of long pressing, just tap it. You'll see at the bottom the edit option.

Haha somehow this just popped up just as I was about to go to sleep. Will watch later when I wake. My friends laugh when I talk to Bixby, sometimes it takes a bit to get him to answer. Then someone will say something and it will go I'm sorry I did not imderstand that. I'm a kiwi and speak well but I use an English slow accent then Bixby will process my request without having to repeat myself. I realised that saying hi Bixby or any other greeting prior to his name is more miss than hit. Looking forward to your post.

Great video. I love bixby and use it daily. Although I wish they would stop messing with voice wakeup. Each time they do it's either worse or better, never consistent. Before the Oreo OS, it was great. Am handicapped and use it all the time, when it lets me!

I have a S22plus running android 13 and One-UI 5.1. I have installed Good lock, and have been using some time creating routines. When I try to take a backup of my routines in Routines+, I don't get any option about where i want to store them. All i get is the "Done" button. When I push it, it seems to me that it backs up routines, but I don't know where. Have you ever ever experienced that? Reinstall Good lock maybe?

Thanks for the great video, full and very informative. I wish Bixby Routines was as wonderful as you state. It’s a great application but still needs a lot of work. There are many failure issues with Bixby Modes and Routines. They initially work then later fail. Routines crossing over a different routine confuses Bixby. So many cannot be trusted if two or more are running at the same time. Mainly starting but not stopping, or making changes then not returning. Modes work best when switching on one at a time. Macro Routines are fine until system updates move section settings where macros were linked to.

I'm only using Bixby because my hey google stop working for some reason on my Samsung s20, but still works on my google app while driving! I hate that you have to say your location every time you ask for the weather on Bixby, any fix for this and can I change it to google weather? Samsung has a long way to go to be even close to hey google, its 2024 and its way behind! 🙂

Please tell me somebody . I ordered the s24 ultra it’s my first android after a decade , I am excited but have a question . Can google assistant on s24 make phone calls , writing messages and notes for you like Siri on iPhones or only bixby is responsible for every phone related action ? Thank you guys .

@drongorius yes, you can ask Google assistant to make calls, send text, set reminders, and do a Google search. I haven't tried to make it do other tasks

I would love Bixby if I was given the opportunity to choose it. I stopped being a Samsung customer for this reason, despite loving the products other quality. I had to physically cut the Bixby button on my S8 and it's more than I can accept. Too bad

I am using a Samsung s10e I was able to get both Bixby and Google to work without having to press a button. The phrase hey Google start the Google assistant. The phrase hi Bixby starts the Bixby assistant.

Guys, does any of you have a problem asking bixby to take you back home using google maps? For me I tried to either ask bixby directly or even by setting a quick command to do so. In both case what it does is this, it open google maps find any location has the word home in it and start navigation!! I know someone might say, "you didnt store your home location on the app"... the answer I did. I have my home address stored on google maps and Samsung account. However no matter what I do or say it never understand I mean MY ACTUAL HOME!! Please any help?

Bixby refuses to listen to me. Don't get my words correct. I'm on pixel phone now with a galaxy watch. When I activate Bixby, a lot of the time it doesn't hear me. Bixby doesn't like a weak cell signal.

Honestly, Bixby is really annoying, to have all the functionalities, something simple like "snooze" or "answer call", I have to set it to English(USA). Ok I'm fine with that, but then the problem is the contact for my mother is mother in Portuguese "Mãe" so of course it doesn't understand, even if it was her name it didn't understand. I manage, still don't know how to connect some contacts to relationships, but they are very limited, you don't even have "stepfather" for ex, and after connecting I have no idea where these are stored so I can edit it. One thing I would like to do is to give nicknames to my contacts so then when I said "Call my queen" it will call my mother or something like that. Siri does that, it's a simple thing. And don't get me started on using Siri with AI. I'm not an IOS person, I don't have an iPhone, always had Samsung flagships. But in this, I got to give it to them.

I’m not sure what you mean. It does work out of the box. Google is better for search and online information Bixby is better for control and automation. But Bixby can also perform searches using chatGPT thanks to Tasker integration.
