@@thelandballin747I would agree with that statement but Russell Wilson is better than Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, and Mason Rudolph even at this stage of his career. I would also say George Pickett, Rookie Wilson & the potential of Calvin Austin with Pat Freiermuth would equate to above average WR corps. Let’s be honest Johnson was not that great for the Steelers offense despite his talent.

Is this year's WR room really much worse than the SB roster of 2005? In 2005 Ward did not quite get 1000 yds. WR #2 Randel-El had fewer than 600 yds. And WR 3 was Cedrick Wilson (Sr). Add the fact that this year's RBs are better catching the ball than Parker and Bettis, is the pass game really as desperate as you say?

The Steelers with another Top Receiver might just have a winning season this year it will take the weight off the front line and Pickens and should open up more running opportunities. With our new and hopefully improved O-line . We still have two slow throwing QB's so you know every team is going to be coming at the O- line.

Don't trust nothing he says on here - multiple other takes are different about the wrs and Russ. The Steelers don't need a Lamar Jackson 2.0 in Fields just to complain later in the playoffs that we need a qb to make plays in the passing game to win in the postseason. (Ask Lamar Jackson). Russ is more than enough dual threat to keep the defense honest in the run game.

Jennings, Burks draft busts, you might as well bring A. Brown back, there are many more teams out there that may have WR's that could be had. Hell, trade Cam Heyward for a big name WR, use Benton in Cam Heyward's spot. Losing Heyward hurts but look at his age and Benton is a star in the making, and less money if Cam's gone more $ for the signing of WR in trade.
