This is one of the most touching episode and moment for me tho. For nishinoya guarding for asahi and let him do his best without hesitation, the bond is real man, stand up from where they fall, reborn from ashes, so poetic and touching. Teamwork at its peak. Many other teamwork and “nakama” anime can't reach this level of true teamwork that they tried very hard to achieve.

Japanese highschool volleyball is far more advanced than the volleyball we have here. It's not very often that boys in the states start playing competitive volleyball until highschool. However we see in the show that Japanese kids get an affinity and understanding of the sport in middle school.

Sorry just wanted to put that out there from the last video.

Yes, Japanese high school volleyball is so competitive. In other countries, you only get the spotlight once you enter college level volleyball, but the japanese are different because their system in volleyball goes way from grade schoolers that's why everyone there has their basics mastered.

Absolutely not very often you see those saves irl but when it happens everyone lose their sht 😂
You edited it out in your reaction but I hope you caught Tsukki's line "It's Hinata's job to steal the spotlight. It's my job to keep trouble from happening when Hinata is rotated to the back. It's the usual situation, isn't it." It is subtle characterization for Tsukki and will be expounded upon in due time. Also, Hi=sun and Tsuki=moon in Japanese hence you'll see those metaphors throughout the show like in the previously mentioned scene.

You asked what a “C quick” is. It’s similar to a ‘normal’ middle quick attack but the middle runs and hits behind the setter instead of in front of them. This is often used to throw off the middle blockers timing, create more space for the wing attack out wide and make it harder for the middle to get out to block the wing attack if it’s used. It can also be used to create a wider channel for a back court attack.

Really loving the reactions to this! It's great to have someone who has actually played the game appreciate how awesome this is. I was thinking it would also be really cool to have little custom segments of your own during the video (rather than just text inserts) where you can flex your volleyball knowledge and show us why certain things in volleyball are done that way (eg. in this episode maybe a small 30 second clips of how rotations work in volleyballs/why is the libero the only one in a different colour? etc.)! You could almost use it as an educational moment for us and I think it would really elevate your videos considering you're one of the few people reacting who can spot the nuances of the game within the anime! It would probably take a little more work making segments like that as well as managing the time for your videos but it would be so cool to have somone bridge that anime aspect to "in real life moments". Either ways I still love your reactions! It only gets better from here!

@@otane7944 I think it becomes one of your strengths actually. Most people who see check this anime out can only react to what's in front of them. You on the other hand have a much deeper understanding of the game and so have a much deeper appreciation for what happens on screen! Being able to communicate that to your audience would really help! Especially in seasons 2, 3, and 4 for where the anime does try to explore the more complicated aspects of volleyabll. Your expertise would be an awesome tool for your audience to feed off. :)

Being a fan of volleyball in Hawaii, when we're watching live games, the crowd always goes crazy for saves like the one Nishinoya did! For any team a save like that is worth cheering for #liberosrule
