WEAR TEST: The concealer creased so badly, it's NOT for me haha. The foundation did not break up but stayed tacky all day and that drove me crazy. It also made me very glowy over the day. It's just not a favorite.

So many people LOVE the Kosas concealer because it so emollient… but I feel the same way you do about preferring a formula that really dries down. I’m still on the hunt for the perfect concealer… they are either not brightening enough, or too too bright.

This is such a great topic in the beauty community! I see it time & time again where people equate having the same skin tone & undertones (& skin type) with being skin twins & then they buy a product based on a recommendation & HATE it. Makeup (& skin care) is so personal! Especially when it comes to base/complexion!

For the Semihaze, you can use the glossy one on the lips and the more matte one on the eyes. If you see it as a multi-use product it makes more sense. Thinking of it only as a blush duo kind of limits it. I saw a model using it on eyes, cheeks and lips and that makes so much more sense. I actually like this product and the packaging. 🤷‍♀ Would I repurchase? Absolutley not, but I will make use of it while I have it.

Yes!! I LOVE the Danessa Myricks balm in my t zone as a primer or all over as a foundation. I honestly think how you apply it makes a huge difference. I also really like the Oden’s Eye liners.

@@MalemVenom I use it in several videos but real quick I press it on with a puff. I’ve tried all the ways and that’s my favorite. It keeps the oils controlled better than everything else I’ve tried. I hope this is helpful.

I really like the Blurry Balm too! But I can also see that on days that I have some dry patches on my skin, the balm did accentuate those unevenness.

I also LOVE the DM Blurring Balm Powder. I live in the south and have oily skin. I don’t know why it comes with a spatula. I don’t use that much at one time. I have the colored version and I sometimes use it to prime in my t-zone before foundation or more often all over as a foundation. I just dab my beauty blender in it and pounce it on my face. If I scooped it out with the attached spoon I’d be using way too much product. I’m so glad to hear someone else who loves it, too!

I don't hate the ABH Nouveau palette... but when I put it on my eyes it seems off to me. I don't know, I like it on others and I love the colours but we were not destined to be together. Today I sold it to a girl so I hope she uses and enjoys it more than I did!

This just shows how things work soooo differently for everybody. I love the colourpop eye primer and it's one of a few primers that make my eye makeup last, everything else (including Sigma) creases on me. I am so sad about sigma bcs it really blocks out my eye discoloration and veins and makes the shadown really pop..sadly it creases...:(

About the Simihaze blush: I could see myself use the matte one throughout the year and the glowy side on naked cheeks in the evenings after a dayat the beach when I want to lightly blush my sun dried cheeks…

I like the CP SS bronzers & blushes. When I wanted to explore cream complexion products, I started there. I still prefer powders for convenience but enjoy having cream alternatives that aren't too balmy/sticky which is something I cannot stand on my face. I would like to try a liquid or gel formula bronzer & blush formula but don't want anything too glossy/shiny or wet that it lifts everything underneath. I think textures/finish are a big part of what makes a person like or dislike a product.

2:46, I've noticed this too! I suspect there is also an aspect of skin chemistry involved. I'm also oily/combo but I notice your and my favorite/least favorite complexion products are polar opposites from each other!

I love the Jones Road foundation, but I do use it more like a tinted moisturizer and I do use my fingers. It is also not very sticky for me

I will use an eye cream, then concealer. I love the L.YS concealer however a tiny bit goes a long way and setting it lightly just does not crease. I did this today. I consider the meds in my shots won't ruin my makeup so lock it all down. LOL No fly aways...huh? This ...was a dream? Cause I swear my brain is sleeping. 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤

I bought reciently the Oden's eye eyeliners and for what I have experienced , I agree with you. They're fragile (a few of mine either came broken or broke when opened the cap for the first time) and they need a few passes to pigment. But once they do, they last a lot. They other day , for instance, I used one, and even with allergies and having excercised it looked good. I haven't used all of them yet. But so far, I like the result. Althought they need a little more care and patience than they should.

The Too Faced gloss comes in a colorless (original) option and it's not milky. It makes your lips just look supple and nourished. I love the milky ones too but the original is my favorite.

The Danes balm is my HG. I have DRY skin and it works so so well as a light foundation, a primer under light foundations and as a "powder" over other things. (I swipe it on with a damp sponge) It's amazing.

When you were talking about the scent of the foundation I heard, "poo-pourri(perfume you spray on the toilet)", so I turned on the caption thinking I misheard it, and the caption said, "poo-pourri", which made me laugh so hard my coffee shot out my nose. I'm not sure if it was intentional,(Currently blaming KZbin's captions), but A), I'm now determined to smell this foundation, and B), thank you ever so much for the laugh. I needed it. Also, I wish I could pull off oranges, as I'm loving the pumpkin spice latte eye look.

I love the ABH Nouveau palette! I feel the the formula of those shadows are a huge improvement from the Soft Glam, Mod. Ren. Etc. I also really love the Too Faced Pillow Balm! The original coconut scent is my favorite; I usually keep it on my nightstand like a lip mask for while I sleep. I think the banana candy you're talking about might be Laffy Taffy? While I usually like banana flavored things as well, I feel like it is not a typical favorite scent/flavor for a lot of Americans.

The satin shimmers are too powdery and do nothing for me, but I will use them as mattes just to get some use out of them

I hate the Jones Road foundation so much. So sticky, so smelly, it separates and congeals which indicates it’s not a stable formulation. I threw mine away after it lurking on my shelf for months. Also love the Danessa Myraks blurring balm. It’s so good.

What the Foundation works on my dry skin. I don't use a primer or powder and it dries down nicely. It also works well for my sister but we do have more mature skin and do not live in a hot/humid climate. I don't mind having to mix the formula either. Going to have a second look at the ABH palette. Thinking softer colors for the summer.

I have that Jones Road foundation and I have combo/oily skin. I heard the foundation described as a “tinted cream” and I find if I use it like my moisturizer, it dries down just fine (after like 20 minutes) and I feel like it’s workable for me. If I put it on top of a moisturizer it’s way too much.

Super enjoyable video, and message: much of finding the next piece of makeup you’ll want to purchase does come down to seeing how it performs on other people who have similar skin types/shades and preferences as you (and yes, weather and environment also count), but it also has so much to do with one’s expectations regarding a product. Thanks to you, I fell in love with the Too Faced Pillow Balms. I do not appreciate the milkiness on them just because I love to PACK THEM ON my lips. They feel amazingly cushiony, and they actually feel like they heal my cracked lips. I don’t love the mintyness but I also look past it, which, for me, is HUGE. t’s my favourite at-home lip balm, took over all the others, and I’m on my third tube 😅 It does run out quickly, though. I will probably try the clear one next, just to see if I can use it as a gloss outside of the house… and if it works, I’ll just toss out all of my glosses and embrace going bankrupt 😂😂

I watched all the videos slamming the Jones Roads WTF and purchased in any way. This product is for dry skin, mature skin, and someone in a dry climate. Most people know this after all the "trash the product influencers". It doesn't need skincare or a primer under it and it smells like a spa. I tried it and I like it. I applied a little powder and it was fine. It's great for the appropriate people.

I hated the Jones Road foundation!!!! Honestly I don’t think I even wore it for a full day, I couldn’t get past the smell and the work it took. I returned it, same with the balms. I haven’t tried anything from the brand since, but I do want to try the bronzer. But I do love the Danessa Myricks blurring balm, works wonders for me. Definitely goes to show not all makeup works for everyone.

I always hear that the Jones Road WTF is meant for older women with dry skin. I can confirm that it is NOT for THIS mature woman with dry skin. I HATED the smell (like a wet wood pile) and the combination of the scent and the oil coming out made me gag every time I opened it. The packaging was a mess every single time I tried to use it. It never set and moved around on my face on my all day. My hair got stuck in it. When I tried to set it with powder, I got a papier-mâché icing type texture that I could scrape off with my fingernail. The foundation always felt heavy and added nothing except weight and shine. I have no idea who that foundation is made for and I can’t believe that Bobbi Brown hasn’t lost her shirt on this and the pot of wax she sells called Miracle Balm. It is Burt’s Bees in a tub. Absolutely terrible.
