You know as I watch this, it gives me the sad nostalgia I got from playing the game. You get to the city and it looks so peaceful and idyllic, and I thought to myself, "I'd love to go there" But it soon becomes clear that even if it were possible for me to go there, as a black man they'd never allow me to enjoy the beauty, only see the dark-side of the city . . .

at least in rapture blacks were somewhat treated better XD

Rather than viewing these spaces through a running jumping bobbling simulated head, these stationary shots and smooth pans are astonishingly compelling and compliment the models, textures, rendering effects and overall spatial composition wonderfully. Thanks & Bravo!

Would you consider doing an Other Places for The Order 1886? Not the best game but the visuals are stunning.

The soundtrack is genius! It's clearly based on 9th Symphony of Dvorak (New World). It does makes all the sense.

I must say, your videos are wonderfully well done =] the way they capture the tone of the settings within these world's is really great. I don't know whether you're planning on making more or not, but City 17 or Black Mesa would be really amazing =p maybe even aperture science labs

Even Far Cry 2 and the original would be worth doing, as they both contained very beautiful environments. I kept replaying Far Cry 2 just because it was so fun driving and running around such a beautiful world.

Matt Lees (Videogamer) was right. This IS a video version of Dead End Thrills. Great work! You could do one for Zeno Clash 2, one of the most imaginative and surreal worlds in a game yet.

Columbia could have definitely looked better and like an actual city. Columbia is pretty but its more like a video game. In a actual city, I feel lost and hesitant. In Columbia, there seems to be a one way set path.

How do you get into freecam mode?
@Fred-xy9ch8 жыл бұрын
search "console commands" on the bioshock wiki and you'll learn how to do it. you can find lots of interesting things with it.
@ogunbaboy10 жыл бұрын
Do you realize that Bioshock Infinite is an action first person shooter game, thus, you're technically saying that it has inferior gameplay? I agree that the story is practically the driving force behind the game, but some other games have a structured plot as well as a pretty nice and spacious setting. This is kind of romantic. Me, a moose, and you, a donkey/pony is arguing about a video game.
@AdorableShadow10 жыл бұрын
Nah, I understand it: It's like a video game because IT IS A VIDEO GAME. Every game you play has invisible walls in one sense or another and although I disagree with your statement, I understand where you're coming from but I think your expectations are a bit too far fetched because you're asking a video game to not be what it is.
@ogunbaboy10 жыл бұрын
You don't get it. Its like a "video game" and not a city at all. A video game has limitations and too many invisible walls. A real city seems vast and and possess a sense of exploration. Columbia is lacking that. Columbia is pretty a piss poor excuse for the hustle and bustle of an actual city. Rapture was understandable. I would expect an underwater city to feel tight and cramp. The early demos of Columbia felt more satisfying. It was more bigger and gave me the sense of the city!
@AdorableShadow10 жыл бұрын
Do you not realize that's what the entire game is about; the story. If you wanted inferior gameplay, you should probably go play an action game.
@ogunbaboy10 жыл бұрын
Yeah. My expectations are a little too high. But comparing the final product of Columbia to the early version of Columbia, the final version is really crappy. Look at the skylines. That's supposed to transport cargo throughout the city;however, I am riding rails that go in a complete unrealistic circle. Furthermore, just go compare the two cities. Compare the Zepplin scene from and Finkton and the demo. Compare the scene after Booker moved the piano to the demo. Infinite just haves a good story.
