This was posted 11 years ago and im just discovering it at the end of 2024. Wouldn't have like this at all when Billy Idol cut the original, but ive come to really appreciate artists who can take a rock classic, strip it down and make something totally new. +MrTesla317 I agree. I never heard the lyrics until I listened to this version and then I found myself understanding the first and second… perhaps others… interpretations of this song. For anyone to take the original and do what they did with this cover is a risk. For me it sits in the pit of my stomach rather than raging in my head like Billy's version did. I relate better to this version, not because it's better but because it takes a chance of saying what is, from the heart.
