That mirror threw me off for a minute.... I wonder whose idea of a joke that was! Nice find, but I'm a little disappointed you didn't ride the service elevator- especially since it offered a view.

thewildeeper As soon as I noticed those black buttons and the LCD display I knew this one was modernised. If I don't get excited then it's very difficult to show any passion for it when I'm filming - believe me, it was better that I didn't film it lol. These lifts you can find anywhere, it was nothing special.

The first lift showed in the video is a OTIS Europa 2000?
@ag63712 жыл бұрын
It is, but with top-drive instead of the usual bottom-drive

These now have Lester Controls, all been modernised by Jackson.

They could've used TVC instead Lester Controls is trash

@@ag6371 Could actually be TVC - someone needs to try the TVC trick on it!

I probably wouldn't want to go near the lift that has the Dewhurst panel in it (and not for the reason you would most likely think of, why on earth is there a fire shutter in front of that particular lift)

OTIS have been replaced with GENERICS? OH SHI...
@desiiro2 жыл бұрын
You should go and see the replaced lifts - they are actually rather nice, the Lester and all that isn't the most interesting but they've got some quite interesting portrait indicators and that big lift (completely replaced now) is super fast, the acceleration starts off slow and suddenly picks up and speeds up really quickly it's quite a lot of fun The smaller lifts aren't fun to ride as much but they do look nice and have fast doors (not really much to say) another thing is, do you still have that video of the old otis in this same car park on your channel, I cannot find it. last time I went to this car park i went to that otis, pushed the button and surprisingly the lantern above the button lit up! Im going there again soon to check up on it but i think this was a freak occurance but it was really nice nonetheless

The sirens gone today

It has just been decommissioned today, oh we'll, at least they kept the sandhurst ones
@mrmattandmrchay9 жыл бұрын
Bon Ron Wow, so it's started already. How do you know it has been decommissioned? Did you see them removing it? Could it be that it just didn't work last Monday?
@hospitalitytaylor9 жыл бұрын
It was announced on the 23rd they would take down bagshot. Wokingham, finchampstead, CAMBERELY, Bracknell and not replace them. There will be 7 sirens left closer to the hospital. ( crowthorne ) they are probably putting them up today (Friday 24)
@mrmattandmrchay9 жыл бұрын
Bon Ron So are you sure they have been physically removed? I'd imaging that to replace the siren, the transmission equipment (don't forget that the infrastructure to convert from copper cable to fibre has to be installed and commissioned by a third party before anything can start), possibly new cabling, access equipment and to schedule a contractor to install the new siren, provide test certificates and then finally test it. Unless they have a large team doing this, you are looking at at least 3-5 working days per siren.I'm an engineer and I know just how long this type of thing can take, and this is not including technical problems, oh, and hoisting down the old kit and 'making good' before fitting the new ones.I'd love to get hold of one of the old sirens to examine it, thought I had more time. May be I should enquire now - might already be too late then (they will probably say no because of "health and safety" which is what everyone says here in the UK)

Generics, to be honest, are quite unreliable compared to older ones
