Are they replacing everything? Like the cars and motors and all of it? Or just new buttons and walls etc?

@@Dwall44 do the ones where everything has been replaced (motors) do they ride differently? I remember when it was Taj Mahal the Otis 401s felt like they ran kinda rough….hard stops…shakes….rolls backs (where the car slides up or down slightly before it starts moving).

@@Dwall44 merry Christmas! Watching your video the cars look like the are the same as the floor still says “Otis” on the floor. I was thinking they removed EVERYTHING.

@@fgpalm yeah I wouldn’t know 100% but I thought the cabs were redone. It’s possible that they’re still the same from when they were redone in 2018 though. Not only were some of the cars loud but some of them had doors that would open and shut violently.

@@fgpalm and yeah I think you already figured that out but this video is the new ones. They’re much quieter now and since they don’t have a floor passing chime, I can’t say for sure but I think they’re faster than the old ones which is impressive. I think the old ones went somewhere around 1000 FPM.
