amazing covered... One of the best I have ever seen. Seeing the hendrix's banjo player covered him is just magic and logical. Thx for the video !

Saw Otis get inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. His band was the best to play that evening, which also included a long set by Joe Bonamassa playing with Warren Haynes for the induction of Tommy Bolin. Great night of music.

Why would Jimi care, it was originally done by The Leaves, so Jimis was a cover too, so I guess your right, there is the odd gem out there

If you are going to do a cover, you can't go wrong with Hendrix, as he did some great covers of those he admired and was inspired by himself... Really like what Otis does with this classic, the test of a great musician is if they can take a song and make it their own and Otis achieved that with this version of Hey Joe... btw, if you like Otis Taylor, you also might like Bushmaster featuring Gary Brown. Check out their song Cumberland Blues on my youtube channel... your friend in music, Unoyaga.

Billy Roberts is credited with writing it. Then Tim Rose slowed it down and is generally thought to be the version that Jimi heard and took his version from shortly after.
