the mission gold hookers green is one of my favourite colours on my palette! it’s SO gorgeous on its own and i personally love the colour mixes for portrait painting/landscapes

Wow what a variety of mixtures under the same name! I never realized how much one color could vary from brand to brand. Just when I’ve gotten away from tubes and started mixing my own!

Thank you these videos are so helpful. The M Graham looks more like a Perylene green to me there, some of the others look quite mossy too, I tend to think of Hookers green as a brighter green as with the Winsor Newton, Daniel Smith etc. While the others are lovely they would not be what I had in mind when ordering a hookers green. Thank You.

I love this series so much! I guess that I am a "pigment nerd", too! I actually own the Roman Szmal one and it love it. I found that I am using it more than I thought that I would. I love the way it granulates and the yellow undertones. I also have the Mission Gold one but I forget about using it. It is a pretty color, but I don't seem to grab my Mission Gold paint as much as I did in the past. I always look forward to seeing new videos from this series. They are some of my favorite KZbin content!

I have the Mission Gold one, and it's gorgeous! However, it is shiny 😭 I think I'm gonna try and mix a version of my own. ☺️ I really like the look of the QoR one!!

Hmm I have a set of Meimeri Blu starter pigments. My first "real" watercolours. I would say that definately appears their lack of quality is pretty pervasive.

I still like my DS color and how it fared in your tests - just because of the color - but when I run out! Maybe Holbein. I hate the Schminke color - it's so blah and flat. A close third for me is the M. Graham!
