Sound effects, presentation, level design, bosses, music, secrets. I still think this is my favorite lightgun shooter. It might not have the gore of House of the Dead or amazing animations of Time Crisis, but this game has the best atmosphere and enemy designs.

i didnt know this game got 10 stages!!! It will be absolutely rewarding if you can play the game that far with one credit, i used to saw this game in arcade, but nobody make it through stage 2... one of the best light gun shooting despite on 10 stages, and all the theme and different enemies and level design.

このゲーム、最初から海外向け（題材が忍者、戦国の世なのでわかりますね）で海外プレイヤー用に難しくなっているので日本ではヒットしませんでした。 日本ではこれよりも馴染みやすかった同社のタイムクライシスがヒットしたことと、奇しくも同時期にエコールから「デスクリムゾンOX」、セガからも「コンフィデンシャルミッション」が出て食い潰しあったこともあって、続編はありません（後に剣で斬るものはでましたが、似ているのは時代背景だけで全く異なります）。 このゲームはこのプレイのように撃ちもらさずにヒットしていくと5ヒット毎に点数がどんどん加算される仕様ですが、敵が固めで元が難しいのでそこまで極めた人はこの動画のプレイヤーなど少ないようです。

@@user-hx7wz4yt9w 史実では忍者は銃を含む火薬を用いていたらしいですね。(ちなみに、杉谷善住坊という忍者が火縄銃で織田信長を狙撃して暗殺を試みたらしいですね) でも、だからといって時代が明らかに違うセミオートマチック式のハンドガンは...ねぇ。

影忍の後を追うの諦めてその辺に着地して始まる2面 においがする云々以前に怪しすぎる石碑 暴走して都合よく8面に案内してくれる敵ボス 明らかに姿が見えてるのに姫に銃を向ける二人 ノリオ弁慶 今見ても突っ込みどころ満載ですが結構やってました

Well, the original arcade version was on the Naomi, which is basically a Dreamcast stuffed in a cabinet. They aren't PS1 graphics, but given the hardware they were made for it's understandable.

I agree with you on the difficulty. Even on the easy difficulty, as well as the use of akimbo-style shooting (two guns at the same time), i can't beat the game. but one day, i shall beat Ninja Assault.

If they would remastered this game with nicer and smoother graphics, also better gameplay as more realistic damage to the characters and put in more efforts to the game, it would definitely be a good one to play, but like that is not too great to enjoy, as for me speaking.
