It's funny as petty as Jacob came off the fact was he was right about ikaika Erik a d the groups performance consistency and work ethic

If Jacob was a solo artist or had a band where he was the lead singer, the would have went much farther. He work ethic was great but he got pulled down.

He did attempt a solo career but it never really took off. There's a reason he is the band's manager now.

they are mad that the people who sunk millions into this venture are getting on them and not giving them space...the comedy of the lack of awareness.. not saying they shouldnt have time to operate.. but its diff when u funding things and cld lose millions if this dont work

It shows how young they really. Ashley saying and im paraphrasing here, "....if i get yelled out then i go out on stage and i wont have a fun time because of it..." Um Ashley...lol do you think they care if you are having "fun" out there performing on stage?! Lol this is a buisness and you need to be critized. If you cant handle it then you shouldn't be in this business. They are all under huge pressure to shape these guys into professional performers and get sogned to a major record label to distribute their records. But most of all, to be taken seriously as a group/artists since they are manufactured as they get. At that time, they were known only for being on a reality type television and nothing like that had been done before. Sure, you had The Monkees, but that was 3 to 4 decades before that and it was a sketch type comedy show. This formula of reality television + creating musical artists + contest type thing hadnt been done before and they didnt know if they were able to transcend tv and actually make it in the music industry. Thankfully, it was successful as this was the precursor to American Idol and was actually the inspiration for AI. I dont fault Ashley for having that mentality as he was only 18 years old. Jacob can be very head strong and can come off as arrogant or entitled. But hes also very young and use to being the best in his hometown. I do think jacob and then Dan when he joined the group, both had an incredible work ethic, discipline, self awareness, and drive for their age.

Jacob was right. He knew they sucked and weren't being focused the way they needed to be. In the end, this is why they never achieved NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, or NKOTB success level.
