I personally think Ikaika is intimidated by his older brother as he says he wants to do the shoot but he can't (because he's allowing his brother to tell him what to do). Such a shame really.

funny thing is he left due to contract situations, noone understood; a year later they were having issues w/lou for the same reasons..im not saying he should have abandoned them, but his stance was always based on legal/contractual issues..the same issues they tripped about after the fact

He also left because of Malia. Watch the episode before he announced his departure. Bryan even said from the beginning that he wouldn't be surprised if he gave everything away for his girlfriend.

It's a shame Ikaika couldn't finish the promo work out of respect for his band mates instead of letting his brother control and speak for him. But in Hawaii the culture is different.

Then he shouldn't have joined. Despite what Lou did, he should have honored the other guys and finished out the promo materials. Professionally, he broke a contract and could have legally been sued.

Personally speaking, I agree with Jacob 100%. Because I didn't feel sorry for Ikaika then and I Still don't to this day.

I do feel sorry for Ikaika because he WAS victimized by Lou but he probably could have avoided that if he had just decided to leave when he realized the sacrifice this was going to ask of him, which was lonnnnnggggg before these episodes. he never wanted to do this as a career and the fact that everyone else was far more committed should have clued him in that this was a more serious undertaking than he thought. he was looking to do this for "1 or 2 years" and then go back to Hawaii and go to med school with all his riches. the others were wanting a full-blown career. hindsight is 20/20 and the very first episode of the show, Ikaika refuses to dance at his audition. that would be an almost guaranteed cut from the process for anyone else. him even making the cut to 25 is a red flag. Lou was targeting him from the outset.

@@808hey you are right, is has nothing to do with being hawaiian, it has to do with beng responsible, reliable en respectfull, and not letting everyone down again and again, not being there when you are supposed to be there. sorry but the way ikaika and his brother acted all along ikaika should never have been in the band at all. you just dont treat people that way. you can say family comes first but that had nothing to do with the way he acted to the rest, letting them down time and time again. he should never have joined, he should never have come back the first time and he should have had the decency to at least stay that afternoon...... that was not to much to ask.

@@sssyyylllvvviiiiaaa exactly! I am so sick of people making excuses for Ikaika. He was a punk and let the greed of his brother cause him to hurt others. All the Lou was a bad guy stuff is irrelevant when it comes to this. Ikaika was wrong period end of discussion. They let him back in and gave him chance after chance for him to bail. He should have never come back and should have never been allowed to come back after the first time.

@@crystalfarmer4074 how could that be irrelevant? Lou was a sexual predator. He offered Ikaika to live in his house, he wanted to "watch him working out". Sure he was different from the other guys but he was starting to like being there. You can see something definitely changing in the episode before this one. He freaked out. And I understand that. I don't know if the others were aware of what kind of person Lou was. Maybe they were ok with that, as long as they could become famous. Ikaika wa not okay with that. Show respect, please.
