No, a disstrack battle shouldn't be about personal taste it should be about objectively better disses, the more personal they are the better and if you manage to make it be a good bar (in the sense of wordplay etc.) then it's even better. If one person just sounds good and has good bars like metaphors, wordplay, good flow (unless you're off beat flow is also subjective), etc. but the only thing they are really saying is: "you're shit/I'm better than you", and the other person doesn't do all that but is saying some personal stuff like, for example: "I slapped the shit out of you then I fucked ur bitch You lost all your money now go cry in a ditch" even with really bland rhymes this person would've won the DISS battle, if it was about the better rapper ( wich is, unless you're off beat and really bland, subjective/ personal taste again) the first person would've won. DasMehdi said it already I think: As an American you most likely will like the SOUND of OTT's track more than SK's, but SK's disses were better. Both of them are really good artists skillwise and apart from disstracks it's personal taste.
