What's great about this video is the silence. No commentary; no music; just the occasional sound of nature.

So green and lush! Pretty little town.

Florida is such a state of contrasts. I suppose many states are, but the contrast in wealth and poverty in Florida is particularly striking to me. Thanks for another interesting vid. If I were younger and more physically able, I would LOVE to explore those abandoned homes! 😊

Another great drive through 🤠👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 It's always sad to see a place so down trodden but I'd have no problem living in an area like this, away from the craziness of the cities... As always, thanks for the stats 🤠👍🏻

Awww that looks so beautiful and the name Otter Creek, is wonderful. Please don't take this personal if you enjoy Florida, but the weather wouldn't be good for me. It's the kind of place I'd enjoy living though, trees and wildlife, but storms and heat are not for me. Thank you for an interesting video. I enjoyed watching😍

I've been through Otter Creek on the way to Cedar Key. Check out the nearby Rosewood historical marker and Crystal River Indian mounds. This part of old Florida is great for history buffs.

To many once thriving towns that are now nearly empty

How sad. A once thriving town destroyed by lack of American jobs. Just imagine in the 30s how populated and family oriented this town was. Sad.

The overgrowth makes it look prehistoric or imaginary. It's both beautiful and terrifying.

I am from a town exactly like that. We moved to the city when I was 10. I'm 80. I bought a farm about 5 mi. from there when I retired. These people just want to be left alone and are content.
