Don't know anything about otter's but, when a dog sleeps on their back like that, it means they know they're completely safe. Hana knows this. She's happy, safe, loved and contented.

I just spent 3 minutes watching an otter sleep! And I can't stop smiling! Of course, it was adorable little Hana. 🥰
Otters hold each other when they sleep so that they won't get separated from each other. That's why she clings to you.

@@rochellelaylo3831 yes but the hand holding is done by sea otters not by river otters! It is done this so that they don't drift apart it's also why they roll in kelp to anchor themselves down river otters don't sleep like that. They do however tend to sleep with each other in big nesting balls thus the reason why he likes to cuddle so much.

A lot of people get mad when they see someone with a pet that should be a wild animal, but let's face it. There's a lot of benefit to sleeping in a warm bed with nice linens, protected by a human being. I've seen pigs and dogs sleeping in beautiful beds with linens that look just as comfortable as this otter. They don't seem to mind much. In fact, they look like they're in heaven. Animals in the wild have a hard life - preyed on by larger animals, beaten down by bad weather, droughts, lack of food and water, the list goes on. Trying to find fresh water and food everyday in the wild sucks. Never mind wild fires, tornados, hurricanes, floods, mosquitos, fleas, and ticks they can't remove and get sucked on and it hurts. What's so great about being homeless for us? It's the same for them. So, if this guy wants to spoil an otter, who cares? I wish all animals could live this well.

Bonnie Forman that’s so damn true. Nowadays most people are so disconnected from nature and have such a romanticized version of it in their head. If you saw this adorable thing out in the wild he probably wouldn’t be as cute picking brains out of another animals skull to just get by for that day.
