Maybe I'm crazy, but I've felt for awhile like Oage has been given a bad rap for the past year. He seems like a decent fellow who had the misfortune of losing multiple mates and doing what any animal would do -- move on. When the O-Twins returned to the cafe, Otsuyu was willing to restart with Oage right where she left off but Odashi flipped out. Oage does seem to be a good influence on her. I hope if there's another litter, he will co-parent. It worked for Dolce.

@@Soufriere84 I really think he’d get jealous of Bob because Oage got lonely and desperate for attention and affection. Otsuyu is very needy and needs constant reassurance and affection. Which is why I think they’re a good match. He’s constantly in need of wanting to bestow affection upon a partner, and that’s precisely what she needs. He’s very attentive to her. From the videos I’ve seen of them, he’s very affectionate with her and she revels in it. I’d definitely have to agree that odashi was an obstacle to their pairing.

Can you blame him for changing his mind? Every time but one he tried to settle down with a mate, they disappeared. He didn't know where they were or if they would return, so he moved on to the next girl. Oage was done dirty and got blamed for it. The only thing he's _legitimately_ guilty of is dumping Odashi for Otsuyu.

I must've missed those videos of Oage's former mate, but didn't he move on from Otsuyu to another otter? Name starts with an M, I believe. And I didn't know he was with Odashi first. Lol.

@@DanteOokami While Otsuyu was in quarantine (there is no way Oage could have known that), he tried to get it on with his childhood playmate -- and Bob's only friend -- Cocoa, who came over from Osaka. There is also no way Otsuyu could have known Oage "cheated" on her while she was raising Wasabi & Namida. Odashi, who mated with Oage a year before Otsuyu did, had a stillbirth, and then got dumped, simply hates her ex.

@@Soufriere84 I mean, I'd hate my ex too if I had to go through a still birth, he left me, and then ends up impregnating my twin. Mind you, this is a human personification of an animal whose thinking process may be a bit different. Poor Odashi, I didn't know that. I haven't seen all of Loutre's videos as I started them a year or so ago...got into them just after the twins were born. Before that, I was mostly watching Bingo (and eventually Belle), Kotaro and Hana, and Aty with Mr. Cat (and eventually Ui).

Oage-papa has no reason not to behave himself. Right now, Loutre-Kyoto has a grand total of _one_ grown female …and the other two are his daughters, which if he messed with _them_ -- unlikely but not impossible since he wasn't allowed to take part in pup-rearing and may not understand -- that would open up a rather nasty can of worms. 🤨
