Aww, I feel bad for Odashi, but she knows she has to keep back as her beloved sister works to keep those pups alive. Hopefully in a few months once they're weaned and a little more independent, Otsuyu will return for twin antics.

She's a really great mommy. Watching her go into labor and give birth made me cry. She didn't know what was happening. You felt so sorry for her. She was crying and screaming hanging on the bars of the cage and biting her little hands. NO EPIDURAL FOR HER. Poor little thing. Imagine NO EPIDURAL FOR A HUMAN! TERRIBLE PAIN! And a little baby popped out! She was surprised! Then, TERRIBLE PAIN again, and another little baby :).

Kinda curious how the other otters would react to the babies. With Otters With Puppies the otters adored the babies but aside from the parents they were siblings. Either way it's going to be fascinating and hopefully happy

I can't believe I missed out on Otsuyu being pregnant all this time! And Odashi and her played like regular. She seems supportive of her sister and understanding when responsibilities come into play. Hopefully she doesn't get too lonely while Otsuyu is being a mother.

Once their eyes are open, the pups will be more active. Then Otsuyu will need Odashi Oba to help play with them and care for them. (Asian SMall Claws are *VERY* social. In the wild, daddy otter would help care for the pups. Here, I'd expect Aunty Odashi to help instead.)

Considering how in the wild the dad _does_ play a role in raising pups, I wonder why they didn't bring Oage in too. Maybe there could have been friction with Odashi? (who we saw _will not_ go far from her sister). Or would he be a danger to the pups? Or is that he breaks the Otter Mating Code -- he's knocked up at least 2 of Loutre's otter-ladies
