Otterbox comparison: Commuter vs Symetry Iphone cases - Protection, Style,

Here is our quick comparison video between the otterbox Commuter and Otterbox Symmetry cases for the Iphone 12 and Iphone 13.
I prefer the commuter as it provides additional protection vs the more basic symmetry case. Right now on amazon the Commuter is actually $1 cheaper than the Symmetry case.

I’ve settled on the Symmetry case over many Iphones. The buttons always work as they should, etc. there’s more competition these days, but the Otters are bulletproof.

I get the 2 piece design because I work in a warehouse and I have busted my screen protector with the symmetry cases.

I have used Defender cases for years and very pleased with them, my IPhones have never been damaged with this cases, also like Commuter cases. Decided to try the Symmetry and was very disappointed, it looks and feels cheap (and it’s not) kind of slippery, like they were not made by the same quality standards

⁠@@heyhocodyo97yes defender is more protection, I had one. It sucks though cause it’s not MagSafe compatible so nothing works with it, not even wireless charging

Symmetry is definitely more expensive from what’s available to me! By about $30Cad. I’ve loved symmetry, but this time it is much more slippery and thinner, and I don’t know if I like it. Might return and consider the commuter. I drop a lot, I don’t need anything to add to that! But I’ve read that it doesn’t fit as well and the speakers are somewhat blocked for hearing clearly while calling, etc. Have you used the commuter for a while that you can comment on this?

When I purchased the commuter was more expensive. The commuter case is overall the better case in my opinion. Better protection, and no the speakers do NOT get covered

On the inside of the symmetry series there's a soft rubberized insert that the phone actually sits on it doesn't sit on the hard plastic back

The fit around the camera corner and the buttons on each side sucks. Why no mention of this? Also, you cannot access the ringer on off button. iPhone 13.

Wireless earphones? Not sure why a case would bend wireless earbuds?

I’m guessing they’re asking if the flap pushes on the part of the headphones that goes into the lighting connector. The answer would be no it doesn’t it more just lays on it

Dude the symmetry case has 2 parts the rubber on the inside and outside of the case and the hard plastic on the back and sides, how do you fail to mention that 😂
