The game won't be as fun with the added physical difficulty factor, though. You get worn out real quick.

Now, granted there are patterns you can learn over time, so I suggest finding songs like this one that emphasize them to get better. Just run it in practice mode with the speed down a little until you figure the pattern out. The patterns are shared in most of the well made songs out there because they're enjoyable to do. @@DekkarJr Practice is a big one. It took me about 4 months to play even a few custom expert maps, and after another 4 months, I can play most things I download. Muscle memory doesn't matter as much, but sometimes does come into effect when playing ridiculously hard maps, especially FCing them.
@akpokemon5 жыл бұрын
@@DekkarJr Muscle memory...Hmmm...How much does that apply here? In terms of how to react to certain blocks, angles, and obstacles sure...but muscle memory doesn't apply 100% to this particular song, because as the title says this is her 1st attempt. So the rhythm and directions were not memorized in any sense--"muscle memory" nor conscious memory.
@DekkarJr5 жыл бұрын
@@akpokemon I meant like the muscle memory that is built up and is used waving those sabers around and being comfortable with it period. I guess muscle memory is probly not the right term for that, but in a way it is if I could be more specific - there aren't that many different positions a colored block can be in this game - you paly the game a lot you will be used to most combinations of moving your arms into the various positions that would start the movement. Hitting a red or blue block going up or down singularly or doubly in any position on the screen is absolutely dedicated to muscle memory because the same basic motions are used. Becuase a part of this game is looking at the block coming at you and knowing how to respond to them - just a musician who has never played a song before can read ahead in the music to see the chords or notes they will have to play ahead of time. Every motion she is making is not unique to every song, in fact they are repeated ad nauseam in most of the songs. She sees a diagonal upper left red block below a blue block in a song she is playing for the first time, her arms will automatically know how to play that "beat" or that "note" of the song because it's one of a handful of combinations that are in most of the songs. How is that not actively dipping into muscle memory? Sure she could play one song over and over and commit the entire song and all of combinations it produces, but that's a part of the novelty of watching someone play on expert who plays this game a lot, that they already KNOW how to play the game very well - their muscle memory having already been condition to respond to what they see coming at them. Swish.

Its not nearly as hard as it looks. The trick is to notget overwhelmed and find the rhythm. Its a lot of simple motions stru together. The problem most people have is they get overwhelmed. Im one of those people lol.

Indeed. This looks super impressive, but in reality most people could probably do this provided they're at least at a below average or better physical fitness level. I'd generously call myself "average", and I've managed to break into the top 30 on the leaderboard for a half dozen or so stock/dlc songs. I bump an 80-100 rank into the 30's every couple weeks playing just 30 minutes or so a night. It comes down to practice. Start slow, and keep pushing yourself. If you're not failing out of half the songs you attempt, you need to turn up the difficulty. My stats show that I fail out of nearly half the songs I attempt, but that's because I'm playing Expert+ with fast mode and disappearing arrows enabled. Even the very best fail eventually, and pushing that envelope is what makes you better. With time your brain just learns to do this without you even thinking about it. You don't memorize maps or learn patterns - you just go into a song for the first time and knock it out, halfway in a trance. Disappearing arrows doesn't even affect an experienced player at all - your brain learns to register all the incoming blocks as they appear, and the motions become so natural that a well mapped song basically doesn't even need arrows on the blocks. Honestly, this is one of the most fun games ever made in my opinion. I've certainly got my money's worth, and I count the ~$1500 I spent on the Vive + accessories in that purchase price (though Beat Saber didn't actually exist when I bought mine).

Sounds a little strange... No BeatSaber content on your channel, no mention of "defelater" on the dev team, and your icon is a bald eagle in front of an American flag.

I've tried to do expert+ but I just can't get it. I'm really good at expert but the difference in expert and expert+ is night and day. Not sure how to work myself up to it when it's like my brain can't comprehend what's coming at me. It's just so fast.
@88Worron885 жыл бұрын
The jumo is pretty extreme in some cases. Though some are easier than others. Best wsy to improve is either expert on fast with or without extra difficulty settings, or expert plus with slow mode

Lindsey Stirling is in my top favorite singers and musicians. AND, this song is one of my favorite songs although I first liked the Child of Light music piece she did which is the exact same song without all that rock style which was for a game with the same title. Anyways, good playing, continue the good work cousin!!! Fun to see you appear more often in my KZbin videos ;)

if your thinking about commenting about how she “lost her combo a few times” just think about how you could have just enjoyed the video and se show good she actually is instead of pointing out mistakes, not everything is perfect. And she was having fun while doing this! Just appreciate her talent
