To be fair, any call to sack Otto must also include the sacking of all the technical team, the management board and the GFA president. That is how radical it should be - a reset. Otto losing the dress room is not only because he is the only reason, several factors must have played a role. Journalists, do not be myopic in your analyses, see the big picture and include the back history of the trajectory of what has brought us to this point. I hate emotionalism in the analysis of the situation.

That's true a radical overhaul is needed But the short term involves removing the coach It's going to be tough to remove the whole FA before another election cycle but yes for.long term success they have to go. Only government intervention can probably make.that happen

Selasi, you have it wrong. If you appreciate football administration you can only make one conclusion, the GFA is the problem not the coach. You don’t have all the details about the dressing room please. Honestly when I hear such elementary assessment it really gets to me. Look at the trajectory of the game since 2019. If more of our coaches are like Laryea we would probably have had the FA out a long time or some drastic changes made long before today. If all of our Coaches could have quit when the environment wasn't enabling for them to work you think we'd have all these issues ? It's quite clear the coach has lost the dressing room. And I even stated the GFA as the problem. But the coach change is necessary. If you think prior to 2019 the GFA hasnt been a problem you're also naive. Only difference is we had committed players. Players who loved the country so much they'd even play when sick. Nowadays players have to choose because clubs pay so much and the schedules are so tight. And also the players came up together from a youth system that instilled discipline and love for their country because their countries honed their talents, Essien, Muntari , Stephen Appiah et al. We had issues but these things along with results papered over those cracks Now players have to choose and our FAs are not doing their jobs well with that same youth systems honing so u have players from a myriad of backgrounds who don't understand what playing for the country means plus a dysfunctional system Tell me how you'd behave in such an environment. I operate in an environment where organizations plan for short, medium and long term success. That is STRATEGY. The CEO and his C suite are held accountable if those plans fail. This means it is inconceivable not to have a strategy. Curt and his team don’t have any strategy. That is why he’s created a patron-client relationship with his short sighted football people giving them handouts to buy their loyalty. Yh short term will probably have to be the coach It's going to be hard to remove Kurt and co unless the government intervenes as was the case in Kenya where the FA corruption got out of hand and they stepped in. As much as continuity is key, I feel Otto has lost control of the dressing room. Captaincy issues, issues with thomas partey, trust issues.. Anything is possible but keeping him will most likely be detrimental to the teams cohesion and passion.

I said in another post I said the issue is the FA. They have no plan as to what they are doing. They don’t just need a plan for now, they need a plan for the mid to medium term, investment in youth, scouting etc. The only good thing the FA have done is made a decision. So we know where we stand, but I feel it’s the wrong decision. As for the manager himself, Ghana have conceded so many late goals. I feel there is also a mentality issue with the players. They need to look at themselves.

Overall first issue, the team needs to get a phycologist. Next,if otto isn't leaving,painstil has to go,laumen moves to third assistant and then we get an experienced assistant coach who knows African football well. Aliu Cisse showed promise. Otto has played 6 qualifying game no win and 3 goals with a lot of goals conceded very late on. in trying to ask for more time to work. he has to earn that by showing promise. he has not and he has brought about some disunity with the Kudus captaincy issue. now is this someone u think has earned the right to get more time? anyway it does not even matter. he has been retained as i type this

The problem of ghana football is beyond the blackstars, there's no proper structure at the FA, all the exco members or board members of the FA must be sacked as well as the blackstar coaching staff, bad team management cos they've done a disservice job to the nation.
