Thank you for the review! I had never heard about this brand before I happened to stumble on to one of our very few brick and mortar stores here in sweden that sells fountain pens. I found this pen and really loved it but was vary of doing a purchase just then as I knew nothing of the brand. There are very few reviews of the O Hutt pens out there so I am grateful you made one! The wave pattern is magic to look at in real life. So in a month or so when I have saved enough I will go back and buy one. I love thin sections as I have small hands, the section on a Leonardo Momento Zero is almost, almost too wide for me, so my favourites are mostly vintage pens who generally have smalle sections. So this Otto Hutt will suit perfectly for the ones like me who love the smaller Pelikans and Graf von Faber Castell pens.

This pen is perfect for me! I enjoy using smaller pens. I love Ohto Hutt's quality and it is very well made. I have the Design 06 and I could tell that their QC is superb.

It’s a good looking pen, but too thin to use comfortably. Nice review, David.

"Standard price" = only somewhat crazy expensive. Kenro is a master, IMO, of overpricing its pens. That seems to me to be its modus operandi.

I do enjoy and prefer an all-metal pen. The feel and the heft of all metal just feels great in my hand. Thank you for this review. As per usual, informative including fact and opinion, while clearly outlining the difference between the two! I'm going to look into this and see what different colors they offer.

Say what you will David, but your thumb and forefinger looked a bit smooshed during the writing sample. This would be comfortable for many hands, but give it 10 minutes and I’d dare say not yours. 😁 Great review as always.

I just learned that KENRO is just 10 minutes from where I live (and five from work)and so I went over today, but I’m guessing that they might not have a showroom open to the public as no one answered the buzzer in the building they’re in, in Mineola. Amaing that a mover and shaker in the fountain pen biz is in my neighborhood, yet it’s impossible to obtain any fountain pens or inks anywhere around these parts…except for a Lamy pen spinning rack situated in the Blick art supplies store (in the same area)(but they carry no fountain pen inks, just a few Lamy cartriges)

Kenro is a distributor, and does not have a physical store or showroom open to the public.

@@FigbootonPens Years ago I worked at a record/CD distributor, we didn’t have a showroom either, but if anyone learned where we were, we’d sell them at retail. Dover Books (the famed publisher, but not just a distributor) is in this same neighborhood as Kenro, and used to have a retail showroom (with discounted books!!!) so was hoping that this pen firm had the same

Nice. I do like the engraving and the nib. The section is a bit narrow to my personal taste. As you eluded a couple of times, there is a strong nod to Faber Castell. Even the black one's patterning looks like the Faber Castell E-Motion Pure Black.

I love the look of that engraving. It's a shame the rest of the pen doesn't quite check all the boxes for me, because it's really beautiful

Excellent engraving. Hope to see this on other pens, too.
