That's pretty cool! The LiveWire One has a USB C port just behind the headlight on the left hand side. From the looks of the parts you showed it looks like there is an included USB-C adapter.

Surprisingly it didn't come with a USB-C adapter. You probably saw the the USB to USB-A of which 2 were included. But USB to USB-C adapters are cheap. I've seen them on Amazon for less than $5. Example: amzn.to/4biQxg1

This is really cool! Just being able to use ChargePoint and GPS mapping via phone in the same weatherproof screen is a big deal for electric motorcycles. Or any other EV planning app that manages to support it.

I love that this just solves this one problem and isn’t loaded with its own battery or other major software. Priced right, super impressive.

I agree! I've got Plugshare, ChargePoint, EVgo, Electrify America and others. Now we just need Zero to adopt DC charging so I can take advantage of all those apps when I'm on the bike. Every year I keep hoping against hope for a Rapid Charger DC-DC converter.

Very cool! Do you know by chance if the Rever app works with Android Auto and thus this gizmo? I'm planning to use Rever to navigate my way to Tail of the Dragon and it would be nice to have it on a waterproof system with a bigger screen than my phone.
@EVRider8 ай бұрын
Not yet. According to Rever's FAQ website page: "We are chomping at the bit to get on Android Auto, but currently REVER isn't compatible." You could get around that by screen mirroring the full version of Android onto the Ottocast. Here's a video on how to do that: evrider.tv/how-to-install-video-productivity-apps-on-android-auto/

@@EVRider Ah, super! I'll have to test out Rever on my Kia Niro EV which has Android Auto before I commit to another "farkle" on my Zero.

It looks like this same unit is sold under a number of different brand names. Do you know anything about the differences, if any? Also having trouble comparing this unit to the C5 Lite SE model. Any idea what the differences are, other than one being more square shaped than the other?
@EVRider8 ай бұрын
I'm not ware of the "SE" model so I can't comment on the differences. My only suggestion would be to carefully compare the descriptions in side by side windows in case one is missing a feature. As to the other brands, I haven't experienced them so I can't say with any certainty whether they are indeed the same hardware and software, but I agree; from the descriptions and photos, it certainly *appears* to the same basic unit is being sold under different brand names.

I have the C5 lite and find the AirPods I use cut out every time I get a message and I need to rest link. Any ideas ?
@EVRider4 ай бұрын
About the only thing I can suggest is deleting and then re-pairing the AirPods. If you've already done that I'd try writing Ottocast support and see if they have any suggestions. My Sena 50c & Samsung S23 Ultra have been rock solid with the Ottocast. I just did a 200 mile ride yesterday with no connectivity interruptions.

What windshield you are using and where to buy it from?
@EVRider8 ай бұрын
I have a MRA universal-fit windshield. I bought it back in 2019. I don't remember the source anymore but just search "MRA motorcycle windshields" and I'm sure you'll see it and come up.
