This song just kills me a little inside. The album is full of great tracks, but for some reason I became really drawn to this one, I don’t know why. About a year after the “Your Love…” album was released I spent a short while in France, including a few days in Paris. I posted some black and white footage of Père Lachaise on my social media, set to this very song - similar to this clip, which is a beautiful coincidence of sorts. I even went for a walk past Café de Flore, just for the sake of it. I then met a French girl. We only spent an afternoon and evening together, but it was a moment in time of weightless perfection. Everything felt right. I had to leave the following day and couldn’t stay longer, but this song was the only thing I could listen to for days on end. We stayed in contact for a while, but as things tend to happen, she got caught up in family things, work things, life things, and I don’t know what became of her. I can’t detach this song from her now. I can’t describe the heartache. Le vent souffle doucement, alors que j'attends ton retour.
