The new single of the ethnic group OTYKEN - GENESIS tells about how it all started. Under the ice - earth, from the earth - flowers, from flowers - nectar, from nectar - honey. We all came from the ice and someday we will return to the ice. OTYKEN band - These are Siberian natives from a small indigenous people (Chulyms). The song "Genesis" tells about the healing of people with the help of nature. It is not only about natural food, but also about the sounds of nature, about fresh air and contemplation.

I came across this by accident and now it's one of my favorites. I love how the main singer uses her voice to express so much. The throat singing in the background really adds a great dimension to it as well. The video is interesting and engaging- love the skull mask guy! I mean sure as an native Turkic language speaker you will learn and understand any Turkic language relatively fast but u need to learn them. Turkic tribes migrated far away from each other and had since ever their own tongue of Turkic and if you see how far away Siberia and Anatolia is far away you can see how far away those languages are from another.

I notice comments from Indigenous folk who relate to this music, and though of British origins, I do too. Just as I like music at pow-wows. It appeals to something deep. Go back a couple of thousand years and my forebears were tribal and indigenous too and probably produced similar sounds. It is in all our DNA.
