You said it right, lyrics in this band are not main thing, you often don't pay attention to them. But what an inexpressible atmosphere, what emotions, sound of distant past and present. Otyken is an incredible band and almost every song of theirs plunges you into a trance.

"Music is Medicine"... Exactly... What you were feeling, while watching/listening to, Otyken was the Universe speaking to you. We are not made with a Cookie Cutter. Everyone has a similar, but different message. The Universe does Not speak any Human language. It speaks to your heart. Otyken has a gift of drawing people, who hear and/or watch them, to experience their own Spirituality. I have been following Otyken, from Canada, since they first started. I have watched every video, they have made, more than 30 times, each and every time, I feel more and more connected. With every Review, I get tearie eyed. It tells me that I am Affirmed... Thank you for reviewing this and being honest. You won't go wrong seeing more of them... 🙂

I love Otyken and this is my favorite video that they have posted so far. Their instruments include: ikili (a two-stringed bowed instrument used in Siberia, similar to the Mongolian morin khuur); khomys (jew’s harp, also known as “jaw harp”); rattles similar to maracas and tambourines; a local variant of the mandolin; and several kinds of drums, as well as modern electric bass guitar and electronic keyboard/synthesizer. They occasionally play a saxophone they found abandoned in the forest near one of their villages. My favorite description of their ikili is “You look like someone who no one should mess with because your instrument was made out of a freakin’ BEAST!” Otyken incorporate throat singing and chanting into their vocals, as well as imitating wild animal sounds and bird calls. When they were founded, they started off doing straight-up folk music. When they began to add a fusion of folk with modern rock sounds, they found themselves attracting fans from all over the world.

Thanks for this reaction and for sharing your experience in not listening but feeling the music. There are a lot of native folk musicians in the world who give you this gift of transferring your soul somewhere higher, reminding your about the big cycles of live, reminding about another lifetimes. For example Anouhr Ibrahim is about arabic and middle east vibes, Alexey Arkhipovskiy is genius of russian Balalayka music (enjoy the Cinderella composition). There are a lot of Chorus songs by Cossacks which are more like group meditations practice rather than just a song! Try Bratina folk Chorus. Good luck and all the best wishes!!! Stay safe and sound.

Thank you! I've been waiting for this. "Phenomenon" is one of my favorite OTYKEN songs. If you want to listen to something more relaxed, take OTYKEN - "WHITE MOUNTAIN" has a lot of instruments and atmosphere.

Watch the OTYKEN concert in Moscow, it's amazing! 🥰❤ I will be glad to watch the whole concert with you. You can divide it into several parts to make it more convenient for you. But be careful, you will completely fall in love with them 😃

Благодарю Вас за реакцию) Я, из Сибири Люблю Наши Малые Народы У меня есть подруга "малые народы Сибири", их осталось всего 100 человек..Очень жаль. Однако, не смотря ни на что, она (моя подруга), очень жизнерадостный человек и к перепитиям истории и жизни всегда относиться по философски. Нам всем не хватает их мудрости....

Literally just found OTYKEN today, and this is my favorite of theirs so far. Always love your reactions, I know you from Home Free. OTYKEN has joined the short list for me with Tommy Johansson (incredible metal singer and instrumentalist, recently left Sabaton but has his own band, Majestica - try his cover of Winner Takes It All); Home Free (and Austin Brown separately now),who you already know about; Galneryus (long-time Japanese power metal band with Syu, one of the best guitarists in the world - try Angel of Salvation from them); and Unlucky Morpheus (Japanese speed/power metal band with violinist and unique vocals - try Cadaaver/Revadac, amazing 'forward, then reverse' song performance ). Really enjoy your channel, and your willingness to expand your horizons.
