I don’t think this video helps OU recruit tightends. JoeJon has my respect for piecing together a game plan that had a possibility to score points…with no line and no receivers. Seth Litrell was a problem. Maybe the right spin…is that now Joe Jon can focus on his job instead of carrying that dead weight.

Are we all really sure that Seth Latrell failed? I find it hard to to believe any OC would have had success with everything that went wrong on Oklahoma’s offense in 24. I will say that I’m thrilled to have Arbuckle. Him bringing along his quarterback and quarterback coach is icing on the cake. We also have much love and thanks to give Baker Mayfield. He made the call to Mateer that sealed the deal. That my friends is love for your school.

Pump the brakes dude, just watched the interview of Arbuckle with Stoia and Castiglione Jr. Arbuckle is very impressed with Joe John, and the TE position will become an HBack again. He also spoke incredibly high of Demarco and Coach B. So…no, he’s not on the same page as most of back seat coaches on here.

ArBuck only uses his TE’s to pretty much just block. I think that’s why they’re having a tough time in the portal. We shall see if he gets Helms & Mitchel involved in the passing game.

Im not as much of a downer on Joe Jon. I think like the rest of the coaching staff he will be on a hotseat next year. He has recruited well we just havnt seen the development we want. Which is an issue. But 1 more shot.

Let’s worry about wide receivers and offensive line 1st. Those are the biggest needs now.. when we get those things fixed we will be competing for conference and national championships because the defense is going to be just fine. Man what a great get at QB!

A legit question at this point should be if Arbuckle can operate his offense without TEs and just reallocate those scholarships. Our TEs aren’t helpful and could actually be argued as detrimental to this team. I’d rather see 5 wide than us roll out those TEs.

I don't agree. A decent Tight End can tear up the middle of the field if you have good receivers. Plus I do believe you need a Tight End to block as needed. Also, Tight Ends get lost in coverage a lot when they block, then run a slant over the middle or as an outlet receiver.

JJF has been TERRIBLE as the TE coach....absolutely awful. He has ZERO good TE recruits because I'm not even giving him credit for Mitchell cause he only came for Hawkins.

I am watching Florida right now, every SEC school has massive 6'6" 260lbs TE's. Florida has 2, One guy is 6'8" 267lbs!!! JJF has to go!!! Horrible.
