The magician's hat that trapped all the magic and the fairies, the one Gold was going to use on Emma, that's what the hell-beastie from Bald Mountain came out of. The Charming crew didn't see the hell beastie freed from the hat with the fairies, it only started flying around after. So that's Emma saying that the hat must have been what sprung their latest issue. Ursula and Cruella couldn't be the cause of their latest problem since they were in a land without magic.

Question. What did THIS Ursula do that was so villainous? Like, the 'Ursula' that stole Ariel's voice like we know in the story, that was Regina. THIS Ursula chose to defy her father and show mercy at the last minute to spare a pirate crew, got screwed over in a deal and had her voice stolen, then gave herself tentacles instead of a tail. They call her a villain, but the worst they show her doing is associating with other villains. Granted, it's been a while since I've seen the show, so maybe I just don't remember things properly, but the Charmings and Regina call her a villain. Hell, she calls herself one. I just want to know the reason
