I wore this at the Abu Dhabi airport. On the plane, I was hypnotized by such a beautiful aroma all throughout the flight and I smelled it for a straight week on my clothes. Every time I wear it now it evokes that beautiful memory and the journey in Abu Dhabi.

Great review! I am a woman. But I don't go by "this is a men's/women's scent", I wear what I love to wear and what smells good on me, regardless the gender mentioned on the bottle. Back to Oud Ispahan: Usually I hate rose in fragrances. But after having a sample of OUD ISPAHAN, I fell in love. To me it smells elegant and, yet, suddenly it totally smells like sex. Can't describe it any other way. Needless to say, I HAD TO HAVE IT :)) so I bought it. This is the most sexy & elegant oud I have ever smelled. Yesterday I smelled something that (at least that was my first impression in the shop) reminded me of Oud Ispahan: It was Penhaligon's SOHAN (exclusive portrait collection). Have you smelled this one yet? If yes, what were your thoughts?

5Heliotrope waauw sexy and elagant ? I bought it , not opened the sealed bottle yet .. afraid that I made a mistake with this 125ml oud scent .. I love dior privee ( got 20 bottles ) but this oud one .. I am not sure off and I did not sample/ try it very much ..

Fragrances are sooo subjective... Maybe you should try a sample before opening that big bottle of Oud Ispahan. But I will tell you this: I do not like skanky oud. This is not a skanky, zoo/barn-like smelling oud. It smells elegant, unisex and expensive. And I do not like most rose fragrances but the rose in Oud Ispahan, I loooove... Weird but true. Let me know if you liked this fragrance at the end... I hope you do.

Although, I'm a middle eastern guy, I don't like oud as I find it strong and suffocating! But with this, it's a totally different story. I own Amber Nuit at the moment, and I can't wait to get Bois, Feve and Oud Ispahan. I got a sample of this when I was recovering from my c section and it was the only thing that made me feel glamorous during the sleepless nights with my newborn. It’s amazing the power of fragrance. I got the big bottle as a gift this valentines and it’s now my signature over santal 33. It’s so unique and it makes you step up to the game, as you have to have your head high to wear it. This is an amazing rose. I like it more than Lyric and it reminds me of Xerjoff More Than Words. They're both very exotic roses. Ironic, you mention this isn't a huge compliment getter and it isn't. However the last time I wore it I got a rousing, OMG what are wearing you smell amazing. Great review Steven.

Interesting. I hate rose but love this perfume. It’s the smokiness and spice I love. Maybe it’s that and the rose smooths it out towards the end. This reminds me of YSL tuxedo but slightly more feminine on the finish.

I would LOVE to see a review of Eau Noire! I have Leather Oud, Ambre Nuit, Mitzah and Oud Ispahan from this line. I also love DIOR (Dior wins again!) and think you're right on about it. Please do Eau Noire because I've never sniffed it and am contemplating a blind buy based on my love of lavender licorice leather & coffee. Some have commented that the current formulation is toned down. I never tried the original but own the current formulation; it’s potent and has all the notes but isn’t quite the beast I was expecting. Quite wearable.

I loved the opening of it but dry down is very strong and stays potent on original oud, which is not pleasing to all noses. If you are looking for a flanker for a fraction of a price, try oud mosaic by Banana Republic. Yes im not joking.

I can only compare against perfume Parlour's oil but it is good! Very good projection after an hour - I walked around town and could notice it very strongly on myself. Maybe 6 hours overall? Hard to say yet, need to test it more. TBH Oud 24hrs doesn't seem as beastly on me as everybody is saying
