Keisuke Tanaka performs his young brother Ryosuke’s stick and club routines at OGF (ONE Gymnastics Festa) at Miyagi, Japan in Nov. 2022. His brother Ryosuke has competed at a variety of regional and national competitions across Japan as a rising star gymnast. He dislocated his neck and injured his spinal cord during practice in June 2022, and is now working on rehabilitation after receiving regenerative medication. Keisuke is also very talented gymnast himself, having won several national competitions.
[Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics] Men’s rhythmic gymnastics (MRG) is a sport invented in Japan nearly 70 years ago. There are two variations of MRG, solo (where gymnasts perform with one of four apparatus) and team, which focuses on tumbling, flexibility, balance, and synchronization. Today there are nearly 2,000 men’s rhythmic gymnasts active in Japan, from junior clubs up through top universities.
